No surprise sadly, hope I can make the rearranged date, but I'll have to see nearer the time.

However it was always going to be postponed following the tragic news today.

I really feel for the chap who's flown over from NZ more than anyone.

It’s not a surprise, but slightly ironic that we’re honouring a woman I keep seeing described as “steadfast” by cancelling stuff.

On balance I suppose it’s the proportionate thing to do, but hopefully it won’t extend beyond this weekend. Life is for living.

If the others play tomorrow, maybe we can play on Sunday. However, I think I'd prefer to get Twine fit and the other new boys up to speed.

We won’t play till after the international break.

Seems odd to me that as per the article, there's no decision yet about Saturday games, and yet we are postponed at less than 24 hours notice.
Very difficult now for many of us to change our plans, and I know someone who has just come in from France this evening in time to catch the match.
I know some will criticise me on here - in the circumstances - for bringing money into this, but a lot of supporters are going to lose a lot of money due to this and for many money is in short supply at present.
As for the poor guy who's flown in from NZ, well he must be absolutely devastated, and I really feel for him.

If games go ahead on Saturday
How about we play on Sunday. Then we could move PNE to Wednesday?

Quite. All feels a bit North Korean to me.

We’re all going to work tomorrow though right?

But then the thing we get to do as a bit of respite and some fun gets cancelled out of ‘respect’

Genuinely never heard as much tosh in my life.

We are pathetic

Could we play through the INT break?
We’ve only got Connor robberts who is going to the World Cup, so surely we could deny other internationals leaving . Surely countries could understand given most teams are only playing freindlies?

No way would police agree to moving fixtures at such short notice.

Sky would be for this, they don’t have any other EFL games on. I often wonder why we don’t have PL on a Friday and Monday nights, then reserve Sundays exclusively for EFL Matches

Just read a lot of sporting events are being cancelled as there's not enough police resources available, with a lot being called down to London to help out.

John from New Zealand would have been in the Trophy Room for a meal and in the Director's Box for the Norwich game. Hope he can make the re-arranged fixture !

I am on a train to Burnley at 1:30 this afternoon, non refundable advanced ticket and a 500 mile round trip. I have a ticket for the game tonight that likely will be rescheduled to a Tuesday which i won't be able to make. I am staying over until Thursday and have a ticket for PNE away on Tuesday so really hoping that is not cancelled. What exactly are they expecting people to do when instead of enjoying their sporting event - watch the wall to wall drivel served up by the main TV channels, interviewing Doris aged 82 asking for her memories of when the Queen visited her school in the 1950s.

Let the sporting events go ahead, have a period of silence for those who want to show their respect and then let life go on.

I'm sure I read that the official "State Mourning" plan for the death of a monarch said that all sporting events be cancelled until the funeral takes place and that TV and radio should only play sombre music for the same period. It had been written in the 1950s but has been officially updated a number of times since then. Whether it has been amended since the communications revolution of the 2010s, I don't know
