Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this unexpected and highly enjoyable little project!
I will post up the team sheet as I propose to print it to accompany the pub photo when I've done it.
And finally...........

Just an update on ClaretGeorgina's superb thread.........Tricky Trevor, it most certainly would be worth sharing them on here.......Were you able to make contact with CT with regard to giving your squad photos their own page on here?Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 2:05 pmGreat spot for Dave Merrington.
I have a folder of squad photos, lots of which I’ve downloaded from here and our former home. Some scanned from programmes. Would it be worth sharing them on here. CT might like to make it a page along with ground photos?
I’ll start posting them on here tomorrow, Roy. One a day. CT can make a decision if he wants them elsewhere.Royboyclaret wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 7:40 pmJust an update on ClaretGeorgina's superb thread.........Tricky Trevor, it most certainly would be worth sharing them on here.......Were you able to make contact with CT with regard to giving your squad photos their own page on here?
The history of our great club is so important to so many of us, and would it not be special to uncover a team photo for each season of our existence ?.......or is that asking a bit too much.
Aren’t they individual photos, Rammy? I didn’t check to deep.RammyClaret61 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 12:53 amAren’t most, if not all on this page?

Good man, will look forward to viewing your collection.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 11:48 pmI’ll start posting them on here tomorrow, Roy. One a day. CT can make a decision if he wants them elsewhere.
Yes, sorry they are individuals.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 8:39 amAren’t they individual photos, Rammy? I didn’t check to deep.
These are team and squad photos down the years.
On the ipad currently I’ll post shortly. Think I’ve got that one but as I said earlier the majority have been saved from here and our former home.Royboyclaret wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 9:46 amGood man, will look forward to viewing your collection.
Are there any from the early years ?.......they're the ones that fascinate me the most.
Came across a group photo recently of our very first year of existence, 1882/83. It claims to be the oldest surviving photograph of a Burnley team group.
BTW I don’t have the 1883 one so pop it up if you can.Royboyclaret wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 10:26 amSuperb pic......the legendary Halley, Boyle & Watson on the front row.
My dad used to reel that team off to me at an early age.
I have a postcard of that photo signed by each player on it.

I think it's just two.
Superb season was '65/'66, finished 3rd in Division One playing some fabulous football. The season that, for me, Willie Irvine really peaked, 29 sensational goals in 42 games and it could have been many more. CTID must be so proud of his Dad,Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 8:20 pmI only caught the tail end of our 59-60 Champs with my first game being March '62. Much as I loved Mac, Pointer, Connelly and Robson they were all at the end of their careers by then so these are the guys who got me excited '65-'66. The colour photo is missing the great Ralph Coates so I've thrown the B&W one in just to include him.

Quite a slope on the pitch back in those days
I sent off to Brooke Bond with tokens from packets of PG Tips tea for the colour photo above. I'm guessing it was from 64-5 or 65-6. A gentle, more innocent age.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 8:20 pmI only caught the tail end of our 59-60 Champs with my first game being March '62. A well deserved trophy for the Youth team, they were a thoroughly entertaining watch all through the competition. A perfectly balanced side with the electric pace of Kindon on one side and the more subtle skills of Dave Thomas on the other, with the cultured Alan West in midfield.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Thu Nov 24, 2022 12:09 pm'68 FA Youth Cup Winners.
BACK. Pat Dooney, Steve Kindon, Wilf Wrigley, Gerry McEvoy, Eddie Cliff, George Coppock.
FRONT. Alan West, Eric Probert, Mick Docherty(C), David Hartley, Peter Jones, Dave Thomas.

A few players in the Coventry youth team that season went on to have decent careers (and one nut job).Royboyclaret wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 9:54 amA well deserved trophy for the Youth team, they were a thoroughly entertaining watch all through the competition. By coincidence, Trevor, one of the opposition players on that Friday night of the second-leg Final on the Turf was a player featured on the photo you posted a couple of weeks ago of the 1972 full England squad.
Jeff Blockley at a guess? David Icke, the well known flake, was in goals for them.Royboyclaret wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 9:54 amA well deserved trophy for the Youth team, they were a thoroughly entertaining watch all through the competition. Still a strong looking squad going into the '67/'68 season.......Potts had signed Frank Casper just before the start of the season and in fact Frank ended his first season as leading goalscorer. We finished the season in 14th position, something we managed to do, remarkably, for four consecutive seasons. One sad note, Willie Irvine's time here was coming to an end.
Adamson in charge by now and he had assembled a superb squad for the '72/'73 season. They were simply a pleasure to watch and fully deserved the Championship at the end of the season. A very young looking Flynny and Ray Hankin on the front row of the squad photo.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 12:42 pm'72-'73 Championship season squad.
