"Our Friends In The North" - TV Series

It's being repeated (first 3 eps of the 9) from 10,10 tonight BBC4

I remember it being brilliant in the '90s.

Just look at the cast...

Just a friendly bump - set record if you've never seen it before / or enjoyed it first time.

I never saw this at the time but the good reviews always stuck in my mind and I bought the dvd set a couple of years ago. I enjoyed it a lot and, of course, it has some cast members who have gone on to a fair bit of fame.

I have seen it three times now. The early episodes are the better ones. i thought it faded out towards the end. Too much reminiscing. But maybe it took me three viewings to come to that conclusion.

I still think it's as relevant today.
History repeating.

I agree, Hunter. I just thought it faded out, somewhat. but when you've seen something three times...

Radio 4 did an extended series recently which worked well on the radio. Kept me entertained over some very long dog walks. Available on BBC sounds for download.

Is there just one series? I might give it a go on the iPlayer.

Fabulous drama. All went on to greater things, not least Daniel Craig. It’s my stock answer to what is the best ever TV drama.

I’ve never watched a repeat for fear of it seeming dated but now we have the ‘new Thatcher’ in power it might be a relevant watch.

Thanks for the heads up on this.

I've never watched this TV series, but based on the reviews here it's now downloading as I speak/type.
