Coventry Away Info

Post by ClaretInLeeds » Thu Sep 22, 2022 1:17 pm

Please can anyone advise if the train station is within walking distance?

Searched on here and the official site but nothing posted.

Also, what pubs are away friendly in Coventry?

Thats the nearest one only a few mins away. The Black Horse on Longford Road has closed apparently which was away friendly. There's a pub called JK English jn the same road is supposedly OK for away fans. About 10 mins from the ground. Most the pubs on Longford Road are home fans only

Is the casino located under the ground still there? We managed to get beers in there on our last visit.

There's a grosvenor casino but never been in. There's also Dhillons Brewery about 9 mins on an industrial estate. I've never been. To either pubs.

Bull and Anchor pub is 5 minutes walk away and is away fan friendly, it's a green king pub so there is food available.

Timetables for the strike day have been released. There are pretty much no trains after 5pm.

The shopping car park next to the ground will let you park for 2 hours then will issue a fine but if you spend £50.00 or more in the shops and keep the receipts you can park for 5 hours. Some fans do the weekly shop in Tesco and then head to the game.

Possibly the busiest supermarket I've ever had the misfortune to drive to for one item whilst at a conference. This wasn't a match day and it was chocker😩

Parking

On-site Car Parking at the Coventry Building Society Arena: To book on-site car parking, including disabled parking, at the Coventry Building Society Arena please choose one of the options below:

Match-by-Match On-Site Parking please click here

Disabled Parking - please contact cbsarena@apcoa.com by clicking here

For away fans, Car Park C is the closest available paid parking to the South Stand. Car Parks A and B are located on-site at the Coventry Building Society Arena and can be accessed via the main entrance on Judds Lane. Car Park C is located adjacent to the stadium, and can be accessed from Jimmy Hill Way. Car Park E is located at the Arena Shopping Park, near to the Train Station at the Arena.

Due to the recent increase of attendances, Car Park B will close from one hour before kick-off to ensure pedestrian safety. If you have booked in this area please arrive prior to this time to gain entry - Thank you for your co-operation.

Judds Lane, the main road in and out of the Arena site, is subject to road closure after each game to ensure the safe exit of fans from the stadium before vehicles are allowed to move. The roads will be re-opened as soon as it is possible and safe to do - we thank fans for their co-operation.

Parking is £12 per game at the Arena when booked in advance (we recommend booking in advance) or £15 on the day (subject to availability)

Turnstiles open from 90 minutes before kick-off, operating ticket barcode scanners on entry, so please make sure you have your ticket ready and it is in good condition.

Food and Drink (soft drinks and alcohol) is available within the South Stand concourse from 90 minutes before kick-off. All kiosks are cashless.

Make sure that you wrap up well. Every time that I've been there it's been cold. One time I was actually shivering and shaking as it was so bloody cold. Something about the way the stadium is built maybe?
