Re: SCOTLAND WIN
This tournament is the international equivalent of the Full Members' Cup. Anyone remember that?

Re: SCOTLAND WIN
England fans should because these things affect fifa rankings.
England have dropped 6 places to 12th in the elo rankings this year. Fifa rankings are horribly flawed, but eventually tend to follow the elo trend with some exceptions.
Ending up in pot 2 for a qualifying draw can be a killer if the 1 seed turns out to be on form.
They need to take the nations league a bit more seriously next time. Losing to teams in level 2 can harm your rankings.
Tossack got wales into pot 4 by dropping players that didn't agree with him and picking players that just weren't up to it. I seem to remember a qualifying group with both Germany and Netherlands in it giving us no chance. It's bad enough getting Serbia who we don't seem able to play against.

Re: SCOTLAND WIN
England have suffered NL relegation, and Wales face a similar prospect if they can't beat Poland, however both will be jetting off to the WC in a couple of months, whereas Scotland will be sat at home, and I know which tournament I'll consider the more important.
And knowing Scotland they'll fall at the final hurdle as they often do when it comes to the crunch, 1 major finals appearance this century speaks volumes for their litany of failure.

Re: SCOTLAND WIN
If the F.A. had any moral compass we wouldn’t be jetting off there either. It’s a complete farce of a tournament.tiger76 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 10:33 amEngland have suffered NL relegation, and Wales face a similar prospect if they can't beat Poland, however both will be jetting off to the WC in a couple of months, whereas Scotland will be sat at home, and I know which tournament I'll consider the more important.

....and it came to pass!
Oh Flower of Scotland.
Hickey came in after injury to a hatful of full backs. Played a blinder for 3.5 matches. Very young.
Jack Hendry at centre back has been outstanding too. We missed out on him.
Well done Scotland.

Re: SCOTLAND WIN
Eh where’s the irony?
England relegated from a higher league with better teams in, Scotland promoted from a weaker league and now play in a league higher than England meh. Nations league is a nice to have but not a necessity i much prefer doing well in the World Cup and didn’t really think we would do too much in this league this year if honest.
Anyway best of luck to Scotland in next years group A hopefully you will stay up and we will get promoted again although I wouldn’t get too concerned if we don’t get promoted. I’m sure you will wish England all the best in the World Cup coming up soon!

I know this is just a wind up post but it reads pretty silly from someone who lives in the country that he is going to celebrate independence from. By the way good luck to Scotland when it happens I suspect the vote will be yes.

Re: SCOTLAND WIN
The Sweaties will always vote for continued dependence on the UK. That Barnett formula meal ticket is just too much to give up. Of course they will continue to vote for the SNP who, being utterly inept, will then continue to waste all that money on windowless ferries and ever more strident calls for yet more pointless referenda.
Maybe the UK should have a referendum on the expulsion of the Jockanese

Scotland would be much wealthier than England and no tories, either! Just look at how PEOPLE are helped in Scotland and how the wealthy are helped in England.
Scotland has been robbed of its assets, despite never voting tory.

Re: SCOTLAND WIN
Congrats to Scotland and to you Ian!
I was born in Burnley to a Dad from Burnley and a Mum from Scotland. I have family in both England and Scotland. I've always supported England at sport but love Scotland, having lived there for a few years. Independence would be painful for me but who would blame anyone for wanting to be free of the shameless self-interested thieves in Westminster.
