Turkey is fine but the quality of food and drink is dreadful
I love Turkish food, and certainly better than a paella.
The beer is definitely a 6/10 at best though.

To be fair. Spanish food is much more than paella. And once you are away from the chavvy hotspots, you're in for a culinary treat.

Don't know if its been mentioned on here yet ....but if your going to SPAIN or even any EU country make sure you get a exit stamp in your passport, if you don't you can be classed as an overstayer and be refused entry on your next visit....some times they check the passport but don't stamp it, but with being british you NEED it ....if you fail that you can either keep your boarding pass from your exit journey or having to get a new passport ...nothing else will do ....

That's good to hear.
It was only based on people I know. One family I know quite well who go to Furengirola every year said half of it was shut in August.
The hospitality trade has taken a huge battering in recent years. Hopefully it's recovering.
Certain areas of the Costa del Sol which are mainly English buisiness areas including Belemadena have been hit hard due to Brexit & Covid, you would not believe how many UK immigrants did not apply for residency even with a 4 year opportunity & now are leaving or living illegally. I live at the southern end between Estepona & Gib & the most beautiful area of the costa del Sol. Great road links with Seville 2 hrs & can be be in Praia de Luz in Portugal in about 4.15 hours which is the far end of the Algarva. If you are into any type of surfing were 35 mins from Tarifa which is one of the best areas in Europe. Great wildlife & 108 different nationalities live in our area which is great.

To be exact the British are now classed as 3rd country, the same as any other non EU /shangan area now on any entry/exit areas in Most of the world. I visit other areas of the EU on a pretty regular basis especially Italy & travel from Malaga, can go on my TIE card, don’t go through the security area & pretty much like catching buses as it’s classed as an internal EU journey.

So you don’t get your passport stamped on the way out in Spain, so do you mean on entry back into the UK?

Just back from Benidorm, as reported by other posters, random Covid vacc records may be checked on arrival, all on our flight went through unchallenged, masks required on public transport, but not in taxis, no other restrictions and Benidorm was bouncing !

Yes, price has gone up a touch since we did them.
We tested with some tests we had left from lockdown before doing the officials ones, wanted to be sure they’d be negative

Stunning beaches, black bulls in the fields with fields of lavender & sun flowers, proper Spain with lots to do with great bars & restaurants, defo not Benidorm or Salou.

I have ridden a motorbike through Spain well over 20 times. I love the place, but I don't do the 'costas'. There are other places on the coast, and inland is where the real Spain is.

Lived in Spain for 2 years and I don't think I had paella more than a couple of times and would only eat Tapas if it was free

Even in benidorm and salou there are places that are proper Spain, you need to look, but they are there, I've found that most people who slag these places off, have never actually been.
