Can't believe it was 25 years ago. Waddle wasn't very good as a manager, and that's being kind.

Seeing us looking enviously at Northampton shows just how we’ve had a miraculous period since then.

I'm not sure how Ford, Williams and Howey being available constitutes "good news".

You say that but the theme to these reports seems to be that we played well and deserved much more than we got.

We did finish that season very well.

We did play well that day. I’d forgotten the Howey sending off but even from the distance of the away end the penalty shout was pretty clear. Unfortunately we got an even better view of the winner looping into the net!

Waddle was a crap manager, he even alluded to it himself and quit management, Stan had to start advising him which is how we just stayed up by the skin of out teeth.
