Funny how a good run can get the press acknowledging the clubs efforts . On the day we got relegated we were being doomed to be in League One in 12 months and going bust financially.Todays Mail speaks positively about the club,it follows a run of good press since our win over Bristol City, praising our manager Kompany, our players,recruitment and style of play.Good press leads to more good press. My only concern is that with an inevitable number of PL manager casualties this season, how many Chairman will look at what Kompany has achieved in so many management areas in a short time. How long can we keep him

I get your point but early days yet, Kompany has a lot more learning to do.

IF Kompany continues to progress at the rate he is, I strongly suspect he’ll manage Man City. That said, before he does that, I sense he has one, but hopefully two significant steps to make.

Step One: manage Burnley in the Premier League

Step Two: manage a Premier League Club bigger than Burnley, but not in the top four…Everton, Newcastle, West Ham.

But when will that be and who will it be? That’s anyone’s guess.

Most of the City fans I know think Kompany is serving his apprenticeship at Burnley before taking over at City. They reckon Vince will take us up and spend a couple of seasons in the prem with us first.

V K has both surprised and impressed me since he has been at Burnley,

To manage a top club like City, I don't think that he needs to serve an apprenticeship.
His football credentials were obvious and his management of players and the team is obvious.

I think he will go straight into a top team when that vacancy occurs.

I don’t think we could have made a more perfect appointment at this time.

He has been impressive in every respect, Alan Pace needs lots of praise for such an inspired appointment.

Kompany is a dead cert to be considered for Man City, should Burnley get promotion and then stay in Prem. Only when Guardiola calls it a day, of course.

You know if he takes us back up this season it would be hard not to feel he deserves a chance at City .

He'll need to do plenty more than take us up this season, he'll need to show he can keep us competitive in the Prem first before someone like City will consider him.

Apart from his name, I'm failing to see what would give him a chance of managing a big club so far.

He's doing alright at Burnley but nothing special. He's playing a system which is great to retain possession, but it doesn't create many good chances and leaves the defence vulnerable.

It's early days here and he might get better but he's a lot to learn.

With all due respect to our players, they are tuppence halfpenny compared to what he will be working with at City.

I think I could manage City..... it's a bit Ted Lasso, isn't it?
