Today's footie 2/10
Watford 1 up at Stoke, and they really should be out of sight given the chances they keep squandering.
Re: Today's footie 2/10
Stoke have looked poor.

Yes the EFL goals were on ITV4 last night, at nine o'clock.
Don't know if it's been repeated today.

The Stokies are abysmal. Got to be three points Wednesday.
Re: Today's footie 2/10
Looking at Watfords shirts I thought "why have they got "Stoke.com" as sponsors ...
I shoulda gone to "specsavers"

Well, it's four.
Absolutely no excuses if we don't beat this shower.

Re: Today's footie 2/10
Stoke can't possibly be as bad as this on Wednesday. Looks like they've given up.
Re: Today's footie 2/10
An awful highlights programme, unfortunately. You would be better just watching the goals and leave it at that. They leave out most chances.
Re: Today's footie 2/10
Stoke might be on their arses come Wednesday night or do they want to bounce back.....up to us I guess to put them on their arses, especially after our own disappointment yesterday.

We don't have to, but if you're nervous about this team, you must have been an absolute wreck in the Premier League. We're the best side in this division.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 02, 2022 1:51 pmWe simply have to.
I'm a bit nervous about playing bad sides who can win headers though.

I wasn't ever nervous in the Premier league as expectation levels weren't very high.

They really are scarily good, City.

As good as they are City are killing off the league as a competition unfortunately.

Re: Today's footie 2/10
Not if the ship is called Titanic it isn't, it's the midfield where City are dominating proceedings, and Utd were chasing shadows throughout the entire 1st half.Vino blanco wrote: ↑Sun Oct 02, 2022 2:48 pmSurely it’s time to bring Maguire on to steady the ship.
City are good no doubt, but if you allow them time and space like Utd have then it's asking for trouble.

Re: Today's footie 2/10
Guardiola and Klopp show that just having money isn't everything, you need the talent to get the best out of them
City and Liverpool have been so good under these two, and I for one (as a neutral) am glad I've been lucky enough to watch their teams at their pomp

Re: Today's footie 2/10
I'm not sure they are, yes they have won 4 out of the last 5 titles, but 2 of those where only by a point ahead of Liverpool, so it's not like City are romping to the PL every season is it, although this season they easily might run away with it on this form.
Re: Today's footie 2/10
A bit unfair to ignore Arteta. A surprise bit of enjoyment from the Premier League this season in that Arsenal are looking very very good. Competition for Liverpool and City.
