Think Dyche and Boro would be a very good fit, actually.

Not sure how Boro set up internally, but Dyche would probably get a large amount of control on the running of things.

Super Chairman to work for, too.

Definitely worse jobs.

According to my Boro mate who is sat next to me right now Dyche would not entertain a move to Boro as no love lost between the 2

Maybe but the last three managers, Woodgate, Warnock and Wilder, have all been sacked or pushed out.

Perhaps it's time they tried another letter. :D

In the absence of Beamish.
He never took the role seriously IMHO.

A third of The Championship teams have changed managers for various reasons a quarter of the way through the season.

Watford, Sunderland, Rotherham, Stoke, Hull, Cardiff, Middlesbrough, Huddersfield.

The longest serving manager is Mark Robins at Coventry - five plus years.

A lot of Boro fans hate Dyche and have bizarrely convinced themselves the feeling is mutual.

Great job for someone. Beautiful training ground adjoining a top golf course and posh hotel, what Gibson built there is impressive. I was watching Boro train just before the season started. Good support in the transfer market too.

Can’t see Dyche taking it though - too many complications given his huge salary at Burnley, there will be clauses all over his severance contract about going to a rival I would think. Very hard to see our club continuing to pay a chunk of his salary while he works to deny us promotion.

(my assumption on how the severance works of course, I think clubs tend to stretch it over the contract life, but if I’m wrong I’m happy to be corrected)

Boro fans I know reckon Dyche hates them from his Chesterfield days and the cup semi-final.

Bruce will be next I reckon, surely all these managerial changes can only benefit Burnley, as any incoming gaffers will usually take time to implement their preferred style on their new squads.

I must admit I was one of those who had Wilder high on my potential list of replacements when Dyche left, but it seems we've dodged a bullet there as he flopped badly at Boro given the available resources they shouldn't be sitting 22nd.

They didn't spend much in the summer (despite receiving best part of £25m for Spence and Tavernier) and the consensus appears to be that Gibson's turned the tap off. Bit of discontentment with him despite what he's done for the club. That's Boro fans for you though.

I think everyone rated Wilder highly, before Boro the only blot was some overpriced signings when he finally got to spend before relegation. But with this failure you begin to wonder if he's more Coyle than Dyche. Initial lower league success, then an extraordinary promotion nobody really saw coming. Then a decline.

He did seem to have that same vibe as Sheff Utd moved up the divisions, all built on belief and excitement. But maybe you just gel with some squads and at some clubs and then struggle to recreate the magic anywhere else.

Oh aye, 'appen, but we can only benefit if we are good enough to take advantage which we weren't on Saturday.

It is indeed an impressive training facility. I have been lucky enough to attend conferences at the hotel. It is excellent

We appear to have dodged a bullet here. I know he was fav with bookies and a number on here.

We have done well with a number of inexperienced managers who have shown potential and made mistakes. Coulee and Dyche come to mind. Wilder and many of the other potentials had experience and were not improving indeed were failing.

Let’s hope Kompany fulfills his potential

Thats probably the one that SD is waiting for, (nearer his house) and it shouldn't be too long before Brucie gets the bullet.

Could well be, West Brom's game until the end of October look tough.

PNE (a)
Luton (H)
Reading (a)
Bristol City (H)
Millwall (a)
Sheff Utd (H)

Can't see many points out of those fixtures, although they have taken points off Burnley and Norwich this season so who knows, but Bruce must be coming close to last chance saloon if their form doesn't rapidly improve.

I had Boro and WBA as probable PO contender at worst, so shows what I know, mind you after what Forest did last season after a terrible start it would be a brave man to write off any team just yet given how unpredictable the Champ can be, and how quickly fortunes can change in this league.

What comes around goes around I've no sympathy for him he was prepared to stab dyche in the back by attending without dyche even knowing.
