Far too much romantic sentiment for a cut throat industry like football, loyalty is a dreamy rarity 1 day you might wake up in the real world, Steve cooper hasn't done too bad out of forest & forest haven't done too bad out of cooper that's as simple has it is!evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 6:10 pmChrist Almighty, how many more times? My earlier post wasn't that complicated - you know, the one in which I pointed out that Cooper will have been made a mug of as a professional football manager if and when he is sacked. His board will show him neither respect nor loyalty.
Hope this helps.

Re: Is he getting sacked in the morning?
Are you talking about me waking up in the real world 1 day or speaking generally?
I can't see anywhere that I've not pointed out that Cooper, if he continues to produce the results he's doing, will be potted ruthlessly and probably within a few weeks.
With the money they've spent, Forest will not tolerate poor performance on and off the field for very long.
Again, hope this helps.

Ok then thanks for the help where this subject is concerned a mug relates to a object which holds a liquid & is used as a drinking vessel & isn't applicable in any other shape or form as a description & regarding ruthlessness the heart will really bleed in the circumstancesevensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 6:42 pmAre you talking about me waking up in the real world 1 day or speaking generally?

Reminded me of the Kevin Long/Jimmy Dunne pairing we put out , also at Leicester , a couple of years ago.jedi_master wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 4:14 pmMy biggest confusion is how a promoted team spends £170m (approx - plus ‘free’ transfers such as Jesse Lingard, and all the wages). Yet still has Steve Cook and Scott McKenna as it’s centre backs.

I wonder how much say Cooper had in these deals too, probably dumped with 20 new player he didn't want.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 4:42 pmSame as Fulham a few years ago, spent big money signing lots of players but none of any real quality that would've helped them stay up.
Worst part is the way Forest were lauded in the transfer window for spending so much money

Jakub, how can three games be more than enough time to reverse some results?

Re: Is he getting sacked in the morning?
Their first three results in totality, 4 pts from 3, including two away games, were excellent for a newly promoted (via the play-offs) side to the prem.
Game 1 Away, Newcastle 2 Forest 0
Game 2 Home, Forest 1 West Ham 0
Game 3 Away, Everton 1 Forest 1
The next two, not many Forest fans would have expected any points from.
Game 4 Home, Forest 0 Spurs 2
Game 5 Away, Man City 6 Forest 0
Then the three poor results.
Game 6 Home, Forest 2 Bournemouth 3
Game 7 Home, Forest 2 Fulham 3
Game 8 Away, Leicester 4 Forest 0
So to reverse those three results they haven’t had even 1 more game to reverse results have they?

The general form results wise hasn't been enough, it doesn't matter if you win 1 out of 8 you've still lost more than you've won or drawn forest aren't sat at the bottom of the league for no reason.Darnhill Claret wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 7:55 pmJakub, how can three games be more than enough time to reverse some results?

Re: Is he getting sacked in the morning?
I’m taking issue with you saying that he’s had more than enough time to reverse some poor results. I disagree. I’m saying that you can only class the last three results as poor. Or if you are just counting the first two of those three, then he’s only had 1 game to reverse the results and therefore only able to reverse 1 of the two. In nobody’s book can that be classed as ‘more than enough time’.

But even more interesting is how you manage to achieve that many grammatical errors in such a short post.

I can raise the interesting stakes by querying what has my grammar got to do with Steve cooper & Nottingham forest? Does this bear any relevance or does it further the discussion on the subject the thread title pertains to?Big Vinny K wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 10:07 pmInteresting debate.

The relevance of raising your dreadful grammar and complete inability to put together any coherent posts is that you are clearly not the sharpest tool in the box. And yes that means there is little credibility in anything you post on this board.
Let’s raise them again though.
I rarely post on the board and do not even read it much these days. One of the reasons is that you seem to take pleasure in ruining almost every thread.
Your inane drivel combined with an underbelly of racism and topped off with a sprinkling of capital punishment voted for by the public in some kind of futuristic game show puts you in a league of your own in the weirdness stakes in this messageboard.
You really are the Erling Haaland of fruit loops.

If you think losing 5 on the bounce doesn't need reversing & losing home fixtures against Bournemouth & Fulham (other relegation candidates) isn't good grounds for dismissal considering the amount spent in the transfer market, I don't know what else to say really.Darnhill Claret wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 12:42 pmWell Jakub, you still haven’t answered my question to you on Steve Cooper, preferring instead to discuss your grammatical abilities.

Re: Is he getting sacked in the morning?
It would be more interesting to know the clauses around terminating his contract
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63172328
that said, it is only when everyone comes together and adopts a single unified strategy that clubs can make a go of things, there is a sound business argument to Forest adopting a plan that anticipates relegation but coming back much stronger, it requires huge discipline in strategic adherence and that is not what the owner is known for - it is what allowed our club to last so long in the top tier though.

Re: Is he getting sacked in the morning?
Jakub is now speechless. Getting back to my point though, if he has to reverse 5 losses, then their next game is the first opportunity. Games 1 + 2 of those 5 were City and Spurs. Who was expecting the team coming up via the play-offs to get any points from those two games?? So to the minds of most reasonable people he has had 3 disappointing results. Also it isn’t 5 losses and Fulham and Bournemouth. That would be seven. You are right to highlight those two as they were possibly the two games so far that Forest fans might have expected some points from when the fixtures were released.
Re: Is he getting sacked in the morning?
Here's how Jakub's posts are relevant to Forest.
Forest are generally OK with the ball, but they need to turn draws into wins and some defeats into draws. Then it wouldn't be a struggle to stay up.
Jakubclaret is generally OK with apostrophes, but he needs to turn commas into full stops and put in some extra commas. Then it wouldn't be such a struggle trying to work out what the posts mean.

Re: Is he getting sacked in the morning?
The "sacked in the morning" question has reared its ugly head again at another Forest match. This time however, its not Cooper who is the subject of the speculation.
I still think Forest are likely to go down but you'd think if any football fans understood the importance of giving a manager time and not writing them off after a few bad results it would be Burnley fans but obviously not.
I for one really hope Cooper succeeds cos the success stories of managers like Howe, Dyche, Frank, Potter and maybe Cooper can only be good for the game
