Great results for us tonight, let’s hope the lads take advantage of that tomorrow night!

I’m almost certain that attendance is incorrect.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 10:44 pmwas the Sunderland game on Sky or something ? less than 14K for a home game for them seems incredibly low

Sheff Utd losing, Norwich and Reading drawing, and of course Blackburn losing. I'd give tonight's footie a score of 10/10 myself!

Or you could say how good and competitive it is.CrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 10:13 pm2 points per game the target and nobody is beating that now.
Never seen a league so there for the taking, not a reference to us just to how poor the league is.

I thought that Cardiff were one of the better teams that we've played this season, they were a threat from the wide area's.`Swizzlestick wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 10:06 pmIt should hopefully now be evident that this league is wide open and nobody is running away with it. Cardiff showing tonight they may not be the cloggers some were trying to portray them as, too.

With Sheff Utd running away with the league and Norwich level with them does that mean nobody else can win automatic promotion ?

They've both got it absolutely in the bag. Clearly nobody else will get near them now. Simply a battle for 3rd from hereon in.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 7:58 amWith Sheff Utd running away with the league and Norwich level with them does that mean nobody else can win automatic promotion ?

Re: Tonight's footie 4/10
Last nights results were excellent and Sheff Utd have proved vulnerable with just one point from two home games. QPR have sneaked above us as a result but it does mean we can now close the gap on top, which is what we should be aiming at. My only slight worry, and this is just a hang over from the Dyche era really, is that historically when results have gone in our favour we have usually managed to fck it up when we play. Hopefully that won’t happen tonight and a decent result would have us tucked in right behind the top three.
Nice to see, at least temporarily, the wheels falling off the Sheff Utd charge. Hopefully we can go into the ridiculous WC break in top spot.

Surely a wind up post. SU have just taken one point from two home games. That doesn’t make anyone look like nailed on champs to me.

I fancy Watford and Norwich to go straight back up

It really isn’t though, I think I was right in suggesting it is there for the taking.
We’ve been spoilt with seeing so many foreign players, first for others in the PL, now for us. The rest in this league just look lumbering and skill less (on average) with only the odd exception. Last night I saw a Rovers player fall over the ball, quite astonishing. They are top half.
We may prove not up to it, but if we do, Norwich and Watford will go back up. They both look limited though as they did last season, just a better limited than the rest in this league.

Surely a league where anyone can beat anyone else is more exciting than a 2 horse race?CrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 1:04 pmIt really isn’t though, I think I was right in suggesting it is there for the taking.

I get what you are saying about the individual skills but I'm no purist, I enjoy the competition.

Bar ourselves of course I struggle to watch championship football on TV, standards are extremely low compared to the premier League. No wonder the promoted clubs struggle with Forest being an example, who will struggle to smash 25pts with there championship defenders
