I’d love something around Wild thing sung by Oliver Reed….
Isn't that "The Trogs" with Reg Presley 🤔

How do you get to be leader then?
I didn't vote for you.
I thought we were an autonomous collective?
I can't help if you didn't get your 2 penneth , although I was told it was held and done by proper fans, loyal fans and the ones who's opinions matter and count for something.

I can only presume any premier league plastics, doom mongers or those not in the know did not get asked to be involved 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well I've got to keep a cool head to make sure I give a balanced and fair view, I'm not just representing myself now, but the whole of Burnleys fan base.

And as promised I won't be giving some half arsed effort like some so called fans

I didn’t know about a vote but I’ve nothing against someone taking a bit of leadership, if it helps to make for a better atmosphere at the game.

Can I suggest though that you’d be better trying to get people on board, which I don’t think you’ll achieve in the numbers that you might, if you don’t adjust your approach?

Some of your replies seem to be very dismissive of fans, some of whom have probably contributed far more to ‘our’ football club over a far longer period of time.

As I say, great that we are seeing and hearing more of an atmosphere but try to be a little more respectful and less of the ‘big I am’. It may lead to more contributions, some of which will hopefully pass muster.

I'm always open to suggestions, people can always pop me an email or message on here, I'll be at Luton and Norwich where they'll only be 900 then about 500 fans so happy to stop for a chat.

Quite a few have already taken me up on the many ways to get involved or share their thoughts.

I have to admit I wasn't to well at Stoke so after a brief stay on the concourse I headed upto my seat where I stayed from 19:45 until 5 mins after the game ended.

I've had that nasty bug going round that's hampered me over the last 10 days, built I'm now back fighting fit and ready for action.

Hopefully 2023 brings in bigger and better things, I've already got some dates booked in to be working down at the Turf and gawthorpe, but it's all staying under wraps for now.

I like the Dirty Old Town and it would be apt seeing most of the opposition fans sing what they think of Burnley the town..

I’m sorry, but supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not some half baked agreement between you and your mates.
If I went around claiming supreme executive power because my mates said so they would lock me up.

Although stolen from another club, it’s rare & would sound unique. Proper terrace song, no swear words, etc.

The lyrics on page one, sung as a walk out song after the Jordan North poem would be amazing.

Would love to get a line of “we are Burnley, Burnley FC” in there though (like the United FC version)

....by no means original but he doesn't have a song as far as I'm aware.

To the tune of Volare by Domenico Modugno, sung most famously by Arsenal fans about Patrick Vieira

Jordan Beyer, wo-o-o-oh,
Jordan Beyer, wo-o-o-oh,
He came from Ger-man-ee,
To play for Burn-e-lee.

No?

Oh well, worth a try. ;)

He wore a yellow shirt
They beamed him to Stoke city
You knew he would get hurt

He went with kirk and chekhov
Phasers set to stun
We came back home with all three points
But covid had him done

Not sure it goes with the tune on the last line? United FC seem to slip it in somewhere. Might listen to it again later.

Like you though, words are not important, just think it’d be a great walk out tune.

Bump.
Any chance you lovely people going to Luton/Millwall could have a go at getting this going? It's been stuck in my head for weeks and we've not even sang it yet.

Darn it, it didn't quote the image. It's Dirty Old Town.

I saw my mate, the other day
He said to me he’s seen the new pele
So I asked who is he,
He goes by the name of Za-Rou-Ry
Za-Rou-Ry, Za-Rou-Ry
Goes by the name of Za-Rou-Ry.
(Repeat)
Been used many times but ... Yup I like it ... although the current Zaroury chant is easy and simple to remember for most

Brilliant basis for a song for Twine..

Woke up this morning feeling fine,
We've got someone special, Scotty Twine,
Whole load of magic in that boy's right foot, whoah yeah,
Kompany tells me i'm in for something good
