Bellingham
On the assumption Dortmund can't turn down silly money how much do you reckon he will go for ? 150 million ?

Re: Bellingham
Difficult to value him, but surely he'll be in the £80-100m bracket.

Liverpool - £120-150mil
Re: Bellingham
He's doing that, those kinds of performances on a regular basis, at nineteen-years-old. It's bewildering how good he is and how good he can become.

Re: Bellingham
Dortmund are trying to get him to sign a new contract with a £150 million release clause.
Current deal runs out in 2025.
Easily worth £100 million, probably closer to £150 million, only 19yrs old and getting better
If he goes to the right club he won't stagnate like Sancho is at Utd.

Re: Bellingham
Phenomenal player.
City probably. And over £100m easily. Can’t see Liverpool shelling out those kind of sums. Never have before so can’t see it now.

Re: Bellingham
They need to. Fabinho, Milner and Henderson aren’t getting any younger. They need at least 2 big big players over the next 2/3 windows in the middle of the park.

He needs to pick his next move very carefully (or stay put). He needs to be guaranteed to play every game wherever he goes and learn from the Sancho move..

Re: Bellingham
Oh I agree, it's just the fee required to get him I think will scare them off. And besides, I don't think BVB to Liverpool is a step up.Milltown1882 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 5:36 pmThey need to. Citeh, the two big Spanish clubs and perhaps BM or PSG for this lad I reckon. What a talent he is at only 19.

His age is irrelevant for me. He’s one of those man childs like Rooney who is old before his years. I’m not sure he can get any better. Brilliant player.

Bellingham is unreal. He’ll break every England cap record going if he stays injury free, he’s brilliant.

Out of interest what is Irans world ranking? I would argue that Qatar are worse and there are many more that I have seen over the years worse than them.

Re: Bellingham
Managed to get a glimpse of him playing for Birmingham at Charlton when he first broke into the Blues first team.
He was very raw, but the engine and physicality was hugely impressive.
Has everything. Very fortunate he’s English, and a bargain at £150M if you build a team round him for the next 10+ years.

Re: Bellingham
He should stay where he is , and develop. JB is one hell of a talent.
I thought that Marcus Rashford made a big difference.
I notice too he has bulked up his upper body.
We have an array of young talent in the squad.

Re: Bellingham
Iran are ranked 20th, the lowest ranked team in our group which is actually the toughest in the tournament, solely based on FIFA World Rankings :-JarrowClaret wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 9:52 pmOut of interest what is Irans world ranking? England (5)
USA (16)
Wales (19)
Iran (20)
Of course, it's a whole other debate as to whether the FIFA World Rankings are accurate or even worth the paper they're written on.........

Re: Bellingham
Everyone is capable of a bad game especially when the rest of the team and tactics aren't helping, but this performance is exactly why he should stay at Dortmund for a few more years. He isn't the finished product yet (despite the hysteria after the Iran game) and is droppable in a top top team, which is the last thing he needs.

Overhyped, anonymous against USA and needs to be more active when needed. He was expected to become a big player in cm for England not dissappear.

A wonderful player who was mobbed last night by the USA.
Every time there was an opportunity to do so, he was casually pushed by the opposition. Needed protection.

Re: Bellingham
Bellingham a good young players, still very much learning. Consistency not there yet. Others more nature and better.
Re: Bellingham
Bellingham is an outstanding young player who struggled last night in a woeful, snail paced all round performance. No more to it than that.

Re: Bellingham
Bellingham was poor last night, but he wasn't alone in having an off night, and the US clearly targeted him for some rough treatment, however that's something he'll need to get used to I'm afraid.
Re: Bellingham
The way I saw the game was The USA had a game plan and it worked ... there are few teams that are easy to beat at a World Cup ... Wales on paper should have wiped the Floor with Iran ... Argentina got turned over by The Saudi team ... Germany by Japan ...
A draw wasn't a bad result in the greater scheme of things ...
Bellingham is young ... he will be a force in the long term ... give the lad a chance

Re: Bellingham
Foden must be in there or is he a bit more advanced in his development for this.
The run last night to set the goal us was prime Maradona. Slight off balance at pace, just knicking the ball off the opponent with the left foot.

Yeah at 22 he's now a veteran compared to the aforementioned teenagers.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 8:00 amFoden must be in there or is he a bit more advanced in his development for this.

Agree though, he's absolutely superb - played a big role in unlocking them for the first too.
