Any updates on their fitness?

Will they be in the squad for QPR?

All 3 were training prior to the break. From bits I’ve read I think Twine and Churlinov should be available for QPR. Hopefully a few friendlies / behind closed doors games are sorted and they can get some match fitness. Westwood possibly January return.

None of them will get in barring injuries to starters.

There’s a U21 game today. Might we see them?

Personally really hope all three have been in over this holiday period working on their rehab!

I'm hoping to see all 3 on the bench, but I can't see how this could be possible.

Our flippin squad is so strong now, it's magic.

Not sure why he’d need a rest, he’s only trained while he’s been there.

From his couple of appearances for us so far looks like another attacking wide player

A lot been written on here about Twine from a football point of view (forget the conspiracy theories 😂) but we have seen nothing of him. He is making a big step up from league one and there are a going to be a lot of really cheesed off people on here if he turns out to be sh!te. I’m not saying he will be at all but a lot seem to be pinning a lot of hope on a player who has played 20 minutes or so of Championship football. I hope he turns out to be brilliant but at this stage I think it should be a case of ‘curb your enthusiasm’.

From what I saw of Churlinov, I would have said a number 8 or number 10.

He looks like he can play anywhere in those attacking areas doesn’t he. I don’t think he’ll be a touchline hugging winger like Zaroury or Benson, more of a floater in between the lines finding pockets of space, either from wide or central.

Wide. Very like Little. Zaroury only got his place because Darko was injured.

It also means with Darko on the bench, Zaroury can up the pace and destroy fullbacks then be subbed ... and Darko do the same 2nd half
👍😁👍

The wing-power/pace we have now is frightening. You wouldn't want to play against us if you were a Championship defender.

You are correct in that you never quite know whether a player can play cope at a higher level.
But Twine got the player of the year in division one last year and got a crazy amount of goals and assists. MK Dons had a great season last year reaching the play offs. This season without Twine they are in the relegation places.
A Sunderland fan I know said Twine was the best player in division one last season.
I think Twine was also our most expensive transfer this season too and Kompany has not got a lot wrong so far with the players he paid money for.

Like I said no guarantees but everything suggests that bringing Twine in was less of a risk than pretty much all of the other incoming players - maybe apart from Cullen.

Just been very unlucky with injuries and it’s probably going to take some time now to get his fitness and confidence back. If it doesn’t work out I’d say it’s probably be going to be more down to the injuries than his ability.

Spot on. I await his appearance with hope and expectation and as you do rightly say VK hasn’t got much of anything wrong so far. I hope his injuries don’t affect his confidence when moving up a league. I suppose the other issue is exactly who do you drop just now to let him in. He may have to wait for injuries or suspensions as it stands, although a couple of cameo subs would be good. To be fair like most Clarets I’m still trying to wake myself up to see if we are dreaming, what a time to be a Claret.

What an exciting, attacking squad of young talent we have now. VK will have some tricky selection choices and it might no longer be such a big deal if Southampton choose to recall Tella.

I just hope that Westwood gets back to his best to strengthen our midfield options. If he’s fit again, the manager will be able to rotate Cork, Cullen, Bastien, Brownhill and Westy in the event of fatigue, injury or suspension. We now have 2/3 like-for-like options in every position.

Exciting times.
