Re: Barnes
I blame the BBC for this
It wasn’t a live interview. If they’d have done their job and edited the clip properly nobody would every have know what he said

Re: Barnes
Could we get our resident defence attorney on here to represent him
Nah he would probably finish up getting him sent down for 5 years

Hasn't apologised for this slip of the tongue already ...
Am sure he is on record as saying "I apologise for calling Blackburn Rovers 'B'stards' ... I actually meant to say 'Horse Fiddlers' instead so sorry for any offence caused".

Wonder if the FA will retrospectively charge the fans for calling their team Sh!t!!! Barnes will get fined.

Hmmm….looking at the wording of the Rule, it would be difficult to argue against the”abusive and/or insulting” allegation.

Well done barnesy. Legendary status after that interview.
Bang to rights? Absolutely.
Was he correct? Absolutely.
I’d happily contribute to go fund me to help pay his fine, despite his obvious wealth.

I've seen the goals so I saw the assault in question. Didn't watch the game but got a few match reports so know that we struggled a bit first half and was lucky to stay in it but in the second half we battered them (quite literally in the case of Barnes)Juan Tanamera wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 8:07 pmDidnt bother watching the game so no idea what you're on about.

Yeah,this is all soo funny.
Do none of you realize the serious consequences that might happen to the club?
What if the FA have the referee yellow card our captain at kick off against QPR?
Not so funny then eh???

Re: Barnes
Looks like a one match ban if he admits it or a two match ban if he denies it and fights it. Plus a fine of £2k or £3k
He’s surely bang to rights so looks like he’s missing the next game I’d imagine

Obviously he doesn't need someone to pay his fine, but it would back fire on the FA and get good coverage if the Burnley fans set up a just giving page and paid the fine for him.it would attract news coverage and good press for Burnley and our love for the no dads

surely someone can prove that at least one of the Rovers players is illegitimate, to make his statement technically correct and also therefore no longer wrong or offensive. Case closed

Re: Barnes
Its a long way away but If I was Kompany I would be looking at leaving Barnes out of the squad for the return fixture as a gesture from the club to apologise for the disrespect Barnes showed.yorkyclaret wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 11:52 amGive him double, then he's sorted for the return match.
I personally think respect is a big thing that is missing in modern day football and even in the modern world full stop and Kompany has a chance here to show that Burnley do things the right way

It wasn’t a live interview, there was no need for it to have been put out on their social media channels like that and that should be Barnes defence
