Strictly speaking that's for advent, not Christmas, but I agree that it's one of the best for the December period.
Advent Hymns are best of the year, but nowadays you are lucky to get 1 week of them before Christmas takes over.

Yes, really unusual as it's in a minor key. Certainly stands out for that reason.

Apparently he wrote Lucky Man when he was about 12. It didn’t see the light of day till ELPs first album. Still remember hearing it the first time. Beautiful song and fantastic bit of moog at the end from Keith Emerson.

Everyone to their own bud but this is my personal worst ever Xmas song. I feel its like a dirge that is badly sung by Chrissie who seems to strain to get any semblance of fluency in it. Odd because I did quite like them but this one just grates on my nerves when I hear it.
