Scored 9 this season, same as Jay.

He would be if he sold Gyokeres for £15 m.

Had three full seasons now in the Championship. 19 goals last season, 9 this season. If he was Mitrovic we'd be looking at 25m+.

As VK said, we don't need an out and out goal scorer, we need someone who fits with the way we play. I'd rather have this guy than Obafemi.

Coventry just been issued with an eviction notice. Perhaps a double bid for O'Hare and Gyokeres could really test them if they are in dire need of capital

Oh dear, this could be very bad news for them. Can't be true though can it? They are miles "bigger" than us.

What a shambles it's been since they moved away from Highfield Road. I wouldn't wish the instability they've experienced on any club with a genuine fan base. Alas, their misfortune could well be to our benefit this January.

He's either trying to force a sale of the club so he can own it, or he wants the ground the stadium is on for redevelopment purposes.

Now the rugby team has gone bust, there's no other need for the ground with the football team there

More of a wide forward than an out an out central striker according to Coventry fans.

Suspect he will struggle to get planning permission. Would certainly have to go to Inquiry

Definitely plays centre forward for them but does pull out wide quite often. His channel running, dribbling skills and work rate are excellent. Perfect striker for our system imo. Do think a PL club will take a risk in Jan, though.

Maybe he'd prefer Burnley. Fair chance of being a regular in the EPL with us next season.

I just love the position we're currently in. Rumoured to be in for one of the best forwards in the Championship and playing champagne football - probably the best football in the Championship over the last 10+ years.

Leeds back to using us as scouts. That pathetic club can fill their boots then for £30m.

Not sure about that.
With the exception of us they are possibly the in form team in the division. Climbed up the table and only 2 points from play offs now with 2 games in hand which if they win puts them in 4th place a point behind Blackburn !
Was going to say exactly this. Been keeping an eye on them and they are currently on the crest of a wave form wise. Games in hand, if won, puts them in the mix. Not exactly promotion favourites but if it happened I wouldn’t fall off my chair in shock.

Leeds apparently looking for a striker.

They've also been linked with Chris Wood, so Gyokeres is no surprise.

We probably wanted more for the players we sold in summer but pragmatic/practical reasoning comes into it.

So for Coventry to say they want X is nothing unusual in itself but if the player/the finances and situation command a pragmatic decision needing to be reached, then its entirely likely that the amount that they get could be less than what they want.

I think Wood is better suited to their needs. Gyokeres unproven at that level. Sure Newcastle will want to recoup some of the fee.

How funny would it be if we received a % of any future fee?

Coventry want 30m for him...

We wanted 25m for Pope and look how that turned out.

Coventry can want all they like but he won't go for anywhere near that.

There's talks of Diaz going for 15m, and clubs willingly play on Coventrys plight to get a better deal.
