Saka ahead of rashford looks like a wrong call to me, his physicality and strength would be more of a threat

Lucky not to be 2-0 down here thanks to poor finishing and Pickford producing a good stop.

Nervy at the back, Pickford’s kicking has been Nick Pope levels.

Got more than enough to beat these lot though.

There’s movement but we lack a player (or 2) that can play incisive line breaking passes

Our midfield is just struggling to get on the ball I would be tempted to make a change in there asap

There was a moment then when 7 england players were in a area about a 6th of the pitch , spread out move , pull them out of there defensive shape.

Not sensing a leader on the pitch to be truthful

3 drinks in, thanks to Southgate for instilling belief into the nation again and making the nation fall back in love with the national team. Some will truly never be happy and would rather we were back to the dark days of Sven, Capello, Mclaren, Roy.
Think this might be the end of the line tonight

Safegate is like AJ can only beat sub par opposition.

Boring, how about support your national team. Could be worse, we could be Germany/Belgium and out in the group stages. Safegate, but scored the most goals in the group stages and qualified comfortably.

Kane dropping deep made that goal.

Bellingham with a world class pass. To reach Henderson from there was no mean feat

Brilliant from Bellingham again, and Henderson there to apply the finishing touch, probably not deserved on the balance of play but a good time to score approaching half time.

Oh I know, was a debate on here recently with someone who’s adamant Kane should not be dropping deep.

That Kane miss is exactly what I was commenting on earlier. Until Mourinho changed his style he’d have buried it.
