Preparation for the rest of the season

Post by dibraidio » Tue Dec 06, 2022 3:17 pm

5 days before the restart and I haven't seen much news at all. I thought we'd have stories about the lads returning to training, reports of behind closed doors friendlies or something. Ashley Barnes telling us how he's raring to go and carry on where he left off....

Think it’s VK’s style to keep all cards close to his chest. We saw it in pre-season too. Probably get a video later this week.

I saw the squad on Sunday afternoon at Worsley Park - looked like they might have had a behind closed doors game as they were all on a coach but then got in to their own cars to go home

We must have played some manor of friendly. You cannot just have 4 weeks off and then go straight back

Check the club website - training video as well as good coverage of Cork and Barnes beginning their coaching badges

No Benson on that training vid.

Good to see Twine and Churlinov though.

Has been a friendly, another this week.

Won’t say any more as club clearly aren’t wishing to publicise the preparations. All’s good.

I'm not sure that Corky and Ash standing on the edge of a pitch shouting at youngsters constitutes preparations for the return to action but yeah.
Good to see that the club have had one training session where they ran up and down a bit.

Blackburn have played two games against Ajax and Hearts during warm weather training. Is knowing that really going to give anyone an advantage?
I suppose we should be grateful that the club have shared a load of old goal videos instead.

Warm weather training… they’ll feel the cold when they return then :D

I think (well hope!) that the vast majority of us on here have worked out that the club must have played at least one friendly and we will find out when we find out

No one seriously believes that we haven't played at least one game surely?
