Isn't this the most relaxed a Burnley fan should ever be?
We don't need any new players imminently.

I'm all for being optimistic, but, I think the journo is getting a tad giddy ! For now !
Imagine Vitinha and Vitinho in the same Burnley side. I’d think I’d woken up in a parallel universe each Matchday

One hundred percent.

12 months ago there's no way on earth we'd even be looking at players of the calibre of Vitinha.

Go back a little further to a previous January window and we signed Peter Crouch !

Really. Not a Premier League player.
'Bobbins' you said which I believe means at best poor. You never mentioned the Premier league. He played four seasons for an increasingly struggling team in the Premier league and attracted a fee of around £20 million. No more evidence m'lord.

Well judging by your capacity to remember single words/phrases between transfer windows, I’m inclined to agree ;)
Head is full of sometimes thrilling but more often mundane information about British and European History from 1750 to the present day … increasingly something has to give somewhere and in this case it’s usernames and passwords 😉

I personally will be happy if Obafemi doesn't come. I'm not sure that I like the sound of him.
Do you need a name with less syllables?

One that seems to have passed everyone by is the Mail linking us with Lyndon Dykes last week.

Lazy link imo. Absolutely zero chance we are interested in him. He’d probably have signed under Dyche.

One speculative report I read was that the delay was possibly due to linking the move to Barnes going to Swansea.

Is it possible that negotiations have got muddled up and this is causing announcement delays ?.. will Obafemi be unveiled as the new Toffees boss and Sean Dyche inadvertently our nippy new centre forward ?

He’s bobbins. One paced, one footed and limited after his one trick in his first season.

Wouldn’t have played at all if firstly, Dyche wasn’t in charge, and secondly if he wasn’t so loyal.

Lovely kid by all accounts, this is purely on footballing ability.

I’d say his transfer ranks up there with a CB who went to Stoke.

Heard this morning that if Benson’s injury is worse than first feared, that we might be signing Elanga on loan from United.

I heard the same and Obafemi will now be a permanent one not a loan allowing us to free up a loan space

Hopefully get an update on Benson in Kompany’s post-match presser. We don’t have anyone else like him. He’s a huge player for us.

Waiting to let the media department do their thing, rather than announcing a new signing in a full time interview, would be my guess.

All I see in this thread is 123EasyasBFC creating divisions and outing people and dragging the thread down. How is he allowed to continually abuse people and create a conjecture/atmosphere and single people out. I will add to my block list but he/she will still carry on with the insults.

If people have a ‘rumour’ the rumour should just be posted, none of this ‘from what I’ve been told’ or ‘news I’m getting from people’, it’s happened again today someone claiming they now have heard from someone that obafemi will be a buy and not a loan, yet Lancs live still saying it’s a loan

Kompany was pretty vague in his Radio Lancs interview as to whether there’d be more signings, but wasn’t ruling it out.

So what you are saying is that you want people to start the sentence with
“I had heard a rumour that Joe Bloggs is going to sign on Monday”…..
Rather than
“Somebody had told me that Joe Bloggs is going to sign on Monday”….

Is that seriously what you have been banging on about for the last couple of days ?

Just for clarification I do not know whether Joe Bloggs is signing on Monday….

In theory yes because if someone is claiming they have sources and it turns out to not be true it just causes friction on the threads, just leave it to the official reporters, someone saying ‘if what I’ve heard from a good source’ is going to make people question it, the craze of people wanting to claim they are in the know is so strange in my opinion

To be fair, historylecturer said we weren't going through with the deal. If the deal has changed, as suggested and we are now buying Obafemi, he was technically correct. The detail however, was maybe lost in the Chinese whispers.

1. How do you know whether they are ITK or not ?
2. The friction on this thread is coming from you.

The only time I have posted ITK is regarding Beyer and the buy out option. The person who said this is as good as a source as you could possibly get in terms of whether that option exists.
I still had people saying I had made this up. I also said that if it turns out to be untrue it would be a very strange thing indeed for that person to have made up.

There is no report of it now being a buy apart from someone on here saying they have been told told it’s a buy, surely better to wait till an official reporter says the deal has changed

As a lot of people have said on here previous, people will have sources but they won’t write the info they know of threads like this, in all my years of following Burnley the last 12 months I’ve never known so many people wanting to be the say there where the first to say something is happening

Ask yourself this, would the thread be better if the rumours posted just same from official reports and articles rather than people saying I’ve been told this or I’ve heard this

Tbh you are the only one who seems to give a flying feck about this.
Ask yourself…..why ?
Simple solution is don’t come on a thread you don’t like.

I’ll correct you on that - nobody likes false rumours.
But that is very different to a rumour that does not materialise into a signing.
