"The 18-year-old attacker is out of contract with Anderlecht after this season and has a personal agreement with the leader in the English Championship. PSV, Standard and a few other Belgian first division teams also showed interest in the striker, but Agyei opts for Kompany's project at Burnley. His twin brother Ebenezer Agyei then seems to be on his way to Westerlo."

Well at least the main verses will be sang at the right tempo for most of the younger fans who manage to turn just about anything into a Gabber tune!

Re: January transfer window rumours.
Certainly looks to have something about him.
There was another player earlier this month that has apparently signed for us from the summer, if I'm not mistaken.
I'm not too familiar with these pre-contract arrangements. Can we take this to the bank, or are they just rumours like any other rumour?

I could be wrong, but I'm sure that I read somewhere that international loans don't count towards the 5 squad rule.
Re: January transfer window rumours.
Sounds like Ebenezer could also join according to another reporter in Belgium:
‘After flirting with Standard, Enock Agyei will commit to Burnley. He is having his medical examination at the moment. He will finish the season with the RSCA U23s and then sign a free contract this summer. Ebenezer, twin brother of Enock, can also sign at Burnley but is still considering’

Re: January transfer window rumours.
Someone has been messing on Jovane's Wiki page.
On 31st January 2023 he transferred to Lancashire League Division 12 (East) club Burnley Belvedere for tuppence h’apenny and a jar of Pledge’s pickles.

Re. Agyei:
‘Update in a complicated file from the start: Anderlecht is negotiating a sale in January for a small sum of money but with its bonus a % on resale. Burnley has the idea of then loaning Agyei to another club until the end of the season’

Re: January transfer window rumours.
Sources in both Belgium and Spain are both suggesting VK is keen to being seasoned Belgium international Axel Witsel to Burnley on an 18-24 month contract either now, or in the summer.
Despite his age (just turned 34), VK sees him as a signifiacant upgrade on the current midfielder's at the club and would play a key part in anchoring the Burnley midfield. It's thought Witsel would bring an upgrade in technical know how in the middle of the pitch.
Being linked to this calibre of player can only be a good thing for BFC.

A not unreasonable summer transfer, experienced head amongst the young squad
Re: January transfer window rumours.
Sheffield United have decided it’s in their best interest to hold onto their best players so won’t be selling Berge. This of course means their transfer embargo is likely to remain in place.

Re: January transfer window rumours.
The bigger question is would Witsel bring the best ever head of hair to the turf. The best since Peter Noble I reckon. That’d be like a Defour style signing for sure.

Witsel is a great deadline day rumour. Unfortunately it can be found nowhere on the internet other than on this forum.

No different to what Leicester did with Cambiasso, so don’t see why it’s not possible. Witsel was on thick end of 100k at Dortmund, probably not to dissimilar at Atleti. Perhaps a heavily incentivised bonus if we stay up.

We’ve bought Agyei from Anderlecht and loaned him to Mechelen for rest of season.

If that's right, that's excellent. Lad moves up a league and is now playing in the Belgian top flight - and of course, he's playing for Steven Defour.agreenwood wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 4:56 pmWe’ve bought Agyei from Anderlecht and loaned him to Mechelen for rest of season.

Add Chris & Paul Scott to the list
Re: January transfer window rumours.
Looks like Agyei has been signed on a 4 and a half year contract then loaned to Mechelen to play games so that he'll qualify for a work permit next season
