In my shop and office there are three computers; Counter 1, Counter 2 and Office, hithertothereforeknownas C1, C2 and O.
C1 is the host of the network, C2 is the oldest and dumbest PC, O is 12 months old and designed to watch porn play games so is fairly high spec.
Access on C1 is fine.
Access on C2 and O hangs, for want of a better word - so in order to add a customer to our database we click 'Add Customer' which works immediately on all platforms. Then it wants you to start with a surname, lets say Smith because they are ******* everywhere, so you type Sm....then it hangs where you get the spinny circly thing and a brief <not responding> message, sometimes for 20 seconds or longer.
It always resolves itself, but when trying to find customer information for a common name it's very time consuming.
How can I stop the hang?
