Our 4 January home games in the first Dyche promotion season went 14k,12k,11k and 11k.

Times are changing.

Yes and then some say we can't grow our following. I beg to differ and the 'new' fans are mainly young people which is just wonderful to see.

People want to see entertaining football and that’s exactly what we are now producing.

Apart from the hardcore who will attend hail, rain or shine the majority of fans are fairweather types.

In fairness the first Dyche promotion was a suprise for everyone after a few yrs of mid table nothingness . The fans have always been there . But yes it’s great to be selling out in the champ and riding this wave .

Think we were averaging 15/16k around this time in 2015/15 which is probably a slightly fairer comparison. Crowds still up by about 4k on that season though.

Yes it was a surprise. He inherited some good players, brought in some good players and crucially stiffened up the defence.

Fan base. If you take a 15 or 20 mile radius around Burnley there are new housing developments by the score and many 'outsiders' are and have moved in. Hopefully some their offspring will become Clarets and not Man U fans.

Be interesting to see our home avearge attendance at the end of the season. If (when) we go up, will we match it in the PL? As some have said, people will pay to watch good, exciting but above all winning football. We will almost certainly not be winning as much in the PL, so will people still match current attendances?

Around 264 seats available, the vast majority being single seats, 2 seats of 3 together and 3 seats of 2 together in the Jimmy Mac lower and 1 set of 2 together in the upper Jimmy Mac.

Block 1 in the longside lower is showing as unavailable. perhaps that block is sold out but might be the case that they'll release the block for sale at a later date.

Preston haven't sold out their 2200 allocation yet despite it being on sale for them since the 11th January.

With Leeds no longer in the same League would people consider Blackburn or Preston to be our cup final this season?

Imagine being a PNE fan.

We were neck and neck in the early 2000s. They bottled the playoffs about 5 times, and have been mid table mediocrity for the last 10 years, and have had to watch us get promoted three times (soon to be four) and win the title once (maybe twice fingers crossed). And seen us play in the premier league for most of that time and play in Europe. :D

And to think that every time they've had the opportunity to get promoted to the PL they've failed, yet we take every opportunity. That probably hurts more than anything else.

:)

They are actually a decent away side. Been very poor at home. But equally we are on an 9 game (I think ?) win streak at home.

Of course, apart from the relegation season PL average attendances have been around 20,500 so although the ground looked a little emptier than it does now there is less of an away following in the Championship albeit we have the likes of Preston, Sheffield United and Sunderland to come.

Not so sure about QPR, Wigan and Cardiff mind.

So my guess is we will finish somewhere around the 20,000 mark, which is very good in the Championship.

This is a brilliant effort. Will be sold out well in advance, you’d imagine.

The club should publicise this so that fans who want tickets don’t miss out!

Currently is 19,563 on average per home game. Obviously there is nothing the club can do if the away team don't sell out the away end.

There maybe some seats together come available nearer the time if the EFL return some of their allocation (as happens most games).

Fairly sure the answer is once, in 1947 - which being the first season after the war was notable for a surge in attendances at all levels.

It can only be that season.

In the four promotion seasons I’ve seen there have only been three games in total gone over 20,000.
