Re: Lampard gone
If this is true, our wage bill is going to be way smaller at the end of this window than how it started, even with all the new signings.

Probably only Everton could have a final 2 for the same job of Bielsa & Dyche

Re: Lampard gone
Today Dyche 1/20 and Bielsa 10/1.
Yesterday Bielsa was 4/6 and Dyche 5/4

The Everton forum going into meltdown. Not a lot of love for Dyche over there.

I hope he does a really good job but still takes them down. The bellend element and its quite a sizeable one of their supporters deserve nothing more than relegation and a few years of struggling championship football.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 9:22 amUp to Dyche to prove them wrong

Re: Lampard gone
Agreed. Be interesting to see what length of contract he is offered. Reports suggest Bielsa turned it down now, but was open to taking over at the end of the season.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 9:22 amUp to Dyche to prove them wrong

Re: Lampard gone
Tarks and Keane to start in defence as they know what he wants. Will save him time having to get Coady playing how he wants. Everton fans will love Keane being back in the team .

I doubt he’ll be bidding for Ben Mee.
Re: Lampard gone
I still hope they drop. But it'll be interesting to read/see how the Everton fans take to him and what style of football they play.

Re: Lampard gone
He has a tough start, but good luck to him. I can’t wish him anything but the best as long as it’s never to our detriment.
A shame though as seeing Everton relegated was something I’d have enjoyed seeing happen. He will sort their defence out but I still question the amount of goals in that side, and they need to sell Gordon ASAP - what a petulant little prat he appears to be.

Great appointment for them. Tough for me though as I’d love to see him do well but I’d also love to see Everton down!

Really conflicted now, between wanting SD to succeed, and wanting Everton relegated.

Re: Lampard gone
Gordon going for £35-40m when Everton wanted £60m for him, however you can't keep someone like him when in the midst of a relegation battle you need all hands on deck and he's clearly not got the appetite for the fight.jedi_master wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 9:48 amHe has a tough start, but good luck to him. Re: Lampard gone
If Keane plays like he did when he was last managed by SD then the fans will love him yes.
Re: Lampard gone
Pleased for him, but what a job he's got on.
Anthony Gordon situation
Only 4 days of the window to bring players in
Not a lot of time to get the players used to his system he wants to play
Next 3 games really tough
Needs to get the fans back onside
Has to prove to the national media he is more than a 4-4-2 long ball merchant
Feels like this is his big chance, and it could go either way. It's his gateway to a potential top job, or becoming another Bruce / Allardyce

Re: Lampard gone
I’m not sure why any of our players would want to leave for Everton (other than money obviously). From a happy dressing room with happy supporters and heading for possible promotion to an unhappy dressing room with toxic fans heading for possible relegation.

i actually met Frank Lampard in a non - football business matter in London . Found him to be a decent , genuine and switched on person - he has had to deal with a very toxic situation at Everton and wish him the best going forward .
Good luck to Sean dyche - he'll need it

Says in the Times Bielsa was willing to take the under 21s until the summer.
Re: Lampard gone
He’s currently a first choice central defender so losing him now would be far from ideal. I know we’ve bought two new central defenders but I’d prefer they had chance to bed in a bit before starting matches.

Dyche contract to June 2025 being reported.

From the earlier link “This followed reports that the club's CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale had been put in a headlock by a supporter after Everton's defeat against Brighton earlier this month”
That’s utterly shocking if true, but it wasn’t reported to police

Re: Lampard gone
Show me where it says the reason Bielsa isn’t the new manager of Everton is because Everton rejected his plans to only start in the summer then I might believe you and these sources you are suppose to have . I think the reality is much different. I think that’s fair.
I fancy Dyche to do a good job at Everton and I suppose you think different

We don’t really know for sure but the general idea put out there is bielsa rejected the job because FM wasn’t willing to accept bielsas conditions, I think he wanted far more than dyche & FM was only willing to go so far.Elizabeth wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 1:04 pmShow me where it says the reason Bielsa isn’t the new manager of Everton is because Everton rejected his plans to only start in the summer then I might believe you and these sources you are suppose to have . Re: Lampard gone
Bielsa wanted to see if Everton would give him the financial package he wanted and this is why he flew in. It was to talk money and had Everton given him what he wanted he would now be the new Everton manager regardless of his reservations about the strength of the squad as he determined itJakubclaret wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 1:17 pmWe don’t really know for sure but the general idea put out there is bielsa rejected the job because FM wasn’t willing to accept bielsas conditions, I think he wanted far more than dyche & FM was only willing to go so far.

Will Dwight McNeill be dissapointed if Dyche gets the job?
