He was fantastic for us, as we were fantastic for him, but come on, let him go. We've said our goodbyes and thanked him. I've seen some great managers and some crap in my 62 years but I don't go on and on about them.
Players and managers move on. Let's talk about Vincent Kompany.
My dad still likes to talk about Jimmy McIlroy. Another legend of the club.
Is it no longer ok to talk about club legends after a certain amount of time?

City win home
Rovers away.
Chelsea win away
Liverpool wins
24 pass goal at Everton.
Heaton, Defour goal and several games at OT

All outstanding moments and great pride.

Add the training ground development and SD got us punching above our weight and in a better place.

But that last season was horrible. Norwich away was so shameful and so lost for new ideas against Hanley and Gibson that he had to go.

Too many to mention but one that sprang to mind was the 'strong jaw' gesture after the game away at Brum during promotion season.

Also after we had beaten Liverpool 2-0 at home and a slightly disingenuous interviewer after the game mentioned that Liverpool had 80 odd % of possession in the match to which SD replied "maybe, but we had 100% of the goals" :-)

The proudest man in Proudsville with Burnley in the top 4. I started following Burnley when they were in the 4th division, not 4th place in the top division.

This season under Kompany would not have been possible without Dyche. For giving the club a status and level of expectation. For pushing for the improvements to the training infrastructure. And for building a squad which could be dismantled for so much money that a whole new team could be bought and more, and still leave the nucleus of a strong side to build around.

I hope Dyche succeeds at Everton because whatever his faults he is a good man who gave a sh1t about our team and our town, and left both in a better place than he found them.
Brilliantly put. Just liking this wasn't enough.

Two single moments spring to mind.

The first is Ashley Barnes’s goal v Wigan - starts with apass out from Heaton, involves 9 players, only one of whom touches it more than once, and a fantastic finish.

The second is Hendrick’s goal at Goodison, rounding off a 24 pass move that pulled Everton all over the place.

I’d love all those journos, pundits and (sadly) “fans” who lazily trot out boring cliches about “long ball” and “anti-football” to be forced to watch them and reflect on what Sean Dyche might’ve achieved given anything like a competitive budget.

Those instances are easy to name as they were outstanding exceptions. I'm not convinced he would ever fundamentally change his game whatever was available.

is he actually there at everton yet?

it's a bit strange how he hasn't been confirmed yet.

They are even slower than us with the announcement videos.

Probably still trying to nick some old Stone Cold Steve Austin footage.

When he walked in through the door for the first time, when he walked out through the door for the last time, and everything in between.

The one image which will forever define the Sean Dyche era for me.

When one of the greatest managers in the history of The Clarets is right back in the headlines it strikes me as a bit strange that some posters on here seem surprised that Sean Dyche is being spoken about on the forum this evening.

Well said. The amount of likes on this speak volumes.
