The one image which will forever define the Sean Dyche era for me.

When one of the greatest managers in the history of The Clarets is right back in the headlines it strikes me as a bit strange that some posters on here seem surprised that Sean Dyche is being spoken about on the forum this evening.

So many great memories that should probably be put in a documentary at some point, Chelsea away first game of 2017/18 season 3-2 and for one of the only terms seeing him celebrate a win was a great moment

I know, absolutely amazing that the most successful manager we've had in the last 40 years or so lands a PL job so is discussed by fans of our club. If it was 6 months ago would that have been ok? 3 months? What is the exact time limit of when someone leaves the club we are no longer allowed to mention them?

The proudest man in Proudsville with Burnley in the top 4. I started following Burnley when they were in the 4th division, not 4th place in the top division.

This season under Kompany would not have been possible without Dyche. For giving the club a status and level of expectation. For pushing for the improvements to the training infrastructure. And for building a squad which could be dismantled for so much money that a whole new team could be bought and more, and still leave the nucleus of a strong side to build around.

I hope Dyche succeeds at Everton because whatever his faults he is a good man who gave a sh1t about our team and our town, and left both in a better place than he found them.

He was fantastic for us, as we were fantastic for him, but come on, let him go. We've said our goodbyes and thanked him. I've seen some great managers and some crap in my 62 years but I don't go on and on about them.

There's been a great thread this week with people discussing Burnley v Manchester United in 1902. If you aren't interested in Dyche that's fine but what on earth is going on that you think you can tell other people not to be?

I have to say that what VK has done so far is astonishing, I am hopeful that he will light up the premier League next season with Burnley and become an excellent Manager (not doing too bad at the moment) and become a Clarets legend in his own right the same as SD has become, I wish SD all the best if he does take over at Everton but not if we play them next season, my heart will always be Burnley, who ever manages them.

Quite a few. Not losing to and besting Blackburn. Winning at Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man U. Not to mention some great home wins. One particular one against Man City when a certain Vincent Kompany headed a poor clearance to George Boyd who smashed the ball in the net past the then England goalkeeper!!!

I just came up with a great idea - those who do not wish to talk about Sean Dyche try to keep your fingers from clicking on this thread. I Tried this method with the Adeola Friday thread, and it really works!
Adeola was a great striker for us, but I'm over him now so I simply avoid the thread! Go on, try it!

This idea has got me thinking. So what you are saying is that when I look down the main page and see a thread entitled, say, 'Isle of Man TT Race' I do not need to click on it to post "I HAVE NEVER - NOR WILL I EVER BE INTERESTED IN MOTOR BIKE RACING AND I AM SICK OF READING ABOUT IT ON HERE" and that I can simply look at one of the other 500 topics available, some of which I may be interested in?

In a way I feel your anguish - Adeola Friday just got bumped to the top.... I must confess it was tempting to go on there and spout my derision to insist they get over him but I somehow managed to not click on it.

He was a good egg & probably always will be, to sum him up he did more right than wrong & left us in a far better place than he found us. I find it absolutely impossible to wish him anything but good luck.

You'd get less usernames reappearing under different guises if proper procedures were carried out with reasons stated & appeals, it's abnormal so many people being banned & reappearing here there & everywhere at the drop of a hat. A cohesive structured placement should be in motion.

Ha ha! "Obsession" I'd hardly call posting a couple of comments on a Burnley FC messageboard about a manager who only left us last year an obsession. I don't need to "move on" thank you. I can, and always will, appreciate what Dyche did for us AND, guess what, I can also get behind and really appreciate what Kompany is doing for our great football club now. It's almost as though you don't have to choose one or the other?!

A lot of this anti Dyche stuff is nothing more than trolling by those who are bored and spend way too much time on here. Just look at some of the usernames and how prolific they are. Granted, not all of them, but way more than a handful have previous history on here along with their new-ish usernames. They are ruining this site. Disrupt the site, day in, day out for hours on end. Get banned again. Log back in with previously registered username and rinse and repeat.

He achieved several incredible things but finishing 7th and taking us into Europe was huge. A brilliant manager and I wish him well at Everton.

The comments from those who don't want to see threads about Dyche are both hilarious and stupid when the thread title couldn't be clearer and can be so easily avoided.

I’m absolutely baffled by some of the negativity and bitterness aimed at dyche on here at times.The best manager I’ve seen down the turf in my lifetime and left us in a far better position than when he arrived.Burnley in Europe,as if anyone ever thought that would happen!

The basic summation is, he was here 10 years, so he must have got a lot right. 10 months is a long time at some clubs. 10 weeks at others. Let’s be honest, he got more right than he did wrong. Ok it went wrong at the end for him, but then it does for every manager. It’s just his “ end” came longer away than any of us could have dreamed of when he was appointed. Good luck at Everton Sean.
