Re: thin skins...
Why be so cryptic in a thread that you started though? Maybe I'm wrong, but to me it suggests that you don't have faith in your own opinions, or you're worried about how other people would react if you stated your opinions in a more specific way. Sounds like how someone with a slender epidermis would behave.

Re: thin skins...
the thread is a reaction to another thread being pulled over a hysterical overreaction by someone who i assume is a grown man.davideyresleftear wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 11:24 amWhy be so cryptic in a thread that you started though? Re: thin skins...
This is the problem with 'modern' society. Too many people are bullied, coerced call it what you like, into hiding their opinions. In the broad spectrum of life, it seems only a minority have a voice. The same is true on this board as much as anywhere.davideyresleftear wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 11:24 amWhy be so cryptic in a thread that you started though? I'm all for people's freedoms of choice, but I also respect a.n.other's right to disagree, so long as it isn't abusive or violent.
Which goes back to thin skins. Children should be taught to be proud of however they want to identify themselves as. So long as they believe in themselves, the next man's opinion doesn't matter a flying ****. If it does upset them, then they need to look in the mirror, as much as at the person who upset them.
imo

There was one in the early/mid sixties, a Skinhead group, the Four Skins. Chose to change their name to the Fortunes.Vintage Claret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 12:50 amGreat name for a band, especially if there were 4 members..
