With quite a few injuries and sickness amongst the players (not knowing who they are) but for a bit of fun guessing who they might be I am going to go with:-

BPF
Vitinho
Ekdal - LB
Beyer
Al-Dakhil
Cullen
Bastien
Tella
Foster
Churlinov
Lewis

Casper
Obefemi
Halil
JBG
Bauress
Sassi
Tucker

It’s a strong looking line up whoever we choose . Though I’d be suprised if either Foster,Obafemi or Twine start . VK likes a real impact bench and he may well need it with a free scoring confident Norwich.

Obafemi isn't match fit so no chance he'll be starting. He'll be slowly brought in for a few sub appearances.

Muric
Vitinho
Beyer
Taylor
Maatsen
Cullen
Brownhill
JBG
Tella
Zaroury
Jay

Wouldn’t surprise me if VK was being a big negative to throw them off the scent. We know THB, Benson and Cork are likely to be out, not sure about the others, JBG was training the other day, so I expect a strong side.

I’d grab a point now though if I could. Luckily we have plenty in the bag so it doesn’t matter much if it gets away from us.

It is certainly hard to preempt V K's team sheet now.

I'm going for this ;-

Muric
Vitinho Al- Dakhil Beyer Maatsen
Cullen Brownhill
Tella Bastien Zaroury
Foster

Bench BPF, Taylor, Roberts, Twine J Rod, Edkal, Churlinov.
Not sure Foster is ready, so I'd start with Barnes up top and Roberts for Vitinho.

Could be a good thing for me - he's really not been on it recently. Since November, to be honest.

If J Rod isn't available I think I'd go with the following. Roberts has been playing very well but I like Vitinho's pace and mobility. Tella and Zaroury playing as inside forwards with Vitinho and Maatsen giving additional width and Twine playing the J Rod role.

Ashley Barnes has been playing well but I think the goals will come from Tella, Twine and Zaroury.

Muric

Vitinho
Al-Dakhil
Beyer
Maatsen

Cullen
Bastien

Brownhill
Twine

Zaroury
Tella

BPF, Taylor, Roberts, Churlinov, Obafemi, Barnes, Foster

That team could well be the smallest we have ever fielded, relative to the average height of men.

True but is it smaller than the worlds best ever club side (I've sneakily missed out a couple of centre-halves)?

Ivan Rakitić
Sergio Busquets
Xavi
Pedro
Andrés Iniesta
Lionel Messi
Neymar
Rafinha
Javier Mascherano
Jordi Alba
Adriano
Dani Alves

There's no way Roberts doesn't start if he's available

The problem at Ipswich last week was that neither full back got forward and as a result there was barely any space for the wide players

When Churlinov got a run on his defender he looked a threat. Tella drifted inside

Really hoping JBG is fit. Losing him and Benson at the same time has affected the balance of the team

It will certainly be interesting to see who isn’t fit for tomorrow’s game.
Having said that, assuming the best case scenario I am going for the following line up -
Muric
Roberts Beyer. Taylor. Maatsen
Cullen. Bastien
Tella. Brownhill Zaroury
Barnes
Subs- BPF, Vitinho, Al-Dakhil, Ekdal, Twine, Churlinov, Foster (I’m assuming Jay’s not fit)

Rumours that BPF and Muric may be part of the group that are missing for tomorrow according to ‘Vizeh’.

Who would come in, Franchi?

In my profession every source is a valuable source as long as you understand what they are saying and why they are saying it - they don’t need to be published - I’m also quite keen on material culture myself and the spoken word…

Norris is out on loan to Peterborough, is there any other that might be picked ahead of Franchi? Perhaps Casper?

This is the Franchi bio from the club site;
Italian, the youngster was born in Pordenone and spent time with both ACD Pravisdomini & USD Opitergina before Prata Falchi Visinale, which is where he was loaned out Udinese’s academy from at U17 level.

Come the end of the 2018/19 campaign, that loan had come to a close and Franchi returned from I Bianconeri, making the move to France with PSG’s own youth academy aged 17.

Heavily involved in the UEFA Youth League as well as the respective French youth domestic competitions, the goalkeeper was also involved with the first-team squad regularly.

Training alongside goalkeepers including Keylor Navas and fellow Italian Gianluigi Donnarumma, Franchi was named on the first-team bench seven times in all competitions including away at Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League last season.

With his places in the matchday squads, the youngster picked up two senior winners’ medals – the Coupe de France in 2020/21 & Ligue 1 title in 2021/22.

And in international football, Franchi has already featured at U20 level for Italy against Norway in March 2022. That his first-ever international cap, he also earned a clean sheet with the young Azzurri running out 5-0 winners.

Don’t know why I wait until an hour before kick off for the team news ,might as well come on here on Friday night ,all the tossers who think they’re best mates with best mates who know Vincent Kompany ,give it a chuffing rest.

Given Vizeh’s rumours

Bit off a odd formation, reverting back to the 4-2-2-2 he played
Franchini
Roberts
Beyer
Al-Dakhil
Maatsen
Cullen
Bastien
Twine (in the brownhill role)
JBG (Coventry)
Obafemi (if not, Barnes)
Foster

We live in a small town and lots of people know people who work at the club. Lots of players not travelled due to illness. Be an interesting team tomorrow.

Would Franchi's sending off for the U21s be a problem ? Was that why Casper was on the bench last week ?

Don’t think so. Bradley Dack was sent off for Rovers u23s a month or so ago but the suspension didn’t count in the EFL.

Really hope so Quick and it can, but mentally prepping myself for the disapointment. Squad is deep these days, the keeper situation is really bad luck.

Think the worry is just whether he shits himself making his debut on Sky. Hopefully sound though.

Replacing Tella with JBG as think VK said JBG needs more time and Tella on the training vids.

Franchini

The Casper selection was an interesting one for me last week. Has any one heard any explanation?
Expected BPF to play in a cuptie but thought Muric would be on the bench, if not then Franchi next in line.

Hopefully it’s a sign that Casper is ahead of Franchi.
Caspers performances at U18 have been getting more praise than Franchis have at U21.

We do indeed live in a small town whereby a lot of people know people who work at the club .. but there is a big difference between working at the club and trumpeting half truths around town and actually knowing what goes on in the dressing room … them as really know summat almost always say nowt

I would have thought that if our two main keepers were out we’d have pushed for a loan yesterday. Suppose we may have done but you’d expect to have heard something.
