Interesting piece of football history - not Clarets related

Like stuff like this thanks for posting.

On a slightly different note but an equally interesting story currently, is that of Will Still manger of Reims who got into football via his love of championship and football manager. Has only lost 1 of his first 17 games in charge.

Just been reading that. Nice bit of research, I remember the main fashion department store in Barcelona translated as ‘The Style of the English” and Burnley as League champions officially helped open the Camp Nou stadium…. Seems there must be other connections awaiting discovery.

You’ve got that story slightly muddled up .. the stadium opened in 1957 😉

Quite right, Burnley were not champions, though I have read that elsewhere, and it was 1957.

And Reims get fined 25000 Euros for every game he is in charge as he doesn't have the appropriate qualifications.
