Think I read somewhere that Pickford didn't want Billy Mercer at the club as he had his own preferred coaches.....

I think dyche will decide who is the keeper coach.

Agreed and it could be Tom Heaton's next step.

Can see Pickford doing a Joe Hart. Doubt any of the top clubs would want him as first choice so another middling PL club might be his limit.

I suspect he'll probably step up at United and join Killa as a GK coach there.

Thought he was already involved in the coaching side at MU, I may be wrong but I thought that was part of his original decision to re-sign there.

I may be wrong but didn’t this situation arise at Bolton when Judas left us? Manager brings in new coach against the wish of the player who had a trusted and long lasting professional relationship with the existing coach?

IIRC the situation became farcical as the first choice goalkeeper continued to work with “his” coach and the new coach ended up working with everybody but him…

Happened at Bolton and they had to bring the previous goalkeeping coach back. As far as I know, there is nothing similar at Everton.

Looks like Mercer is in temporarily at Everton whilst their current coach is having a knee op

I believe Mercer has been called in to help out whilst the regular goalkeeping coach recovers from a knee operation.

He has. Alan Kelly has gone in for a knee op and Billy has gone in to stand in for him.
