Norwich Predictions

Post by nyclaret » Fri Feb 03, 2023 3:22 pm

Their fans seem confident of getting a win after the club’s ‘rejuvenation’ under Wagner. I’d settle for a point now.

Difficult to call with all the missing players through injury and illness. I'm sure Norwich will think this is a great time to be playing us.

Probably need to see the team first and see how badly hit we are with players missing. I think it will be a real struggle if Cullen and / or Brownhill are out. I would take a point right now.

They picked up winger Marquinhos on loan from Arsenal, don't know too much about him, as said
above, their fans are up for this and it'll be a tough one. But of course, we were saying that against
West Brom and we came through that.Yes, our absentees will be a problem but I'm sure we'll cope.
A draw would be ok, though.

Incidentally, if we win tomorrow it will equal the longest winning streak (9) in this league set by… Norwich.

Worried about this one. As mentioned above, we have a number of injuries atm and although they may not be long term, tomorrow is unfortunately too soon, plus we have the Cork suspension. I'd take the draw right now.

Going for a narrow defeat in this one.

Think we’ve been playing poorly since Stoke + Away + they are in form + suspensions/injuries/illness so a lot against us.

2-1

How's the pedestrianisation of the city centre worked out for them?

Fine, they just need to flatten the hills out now.

Big test for us and our standing as a team.
We haven't beat any of the top sides away from home as yet and haven't been in the best of form recently, even though results have been good.

We have all got carried away with how things are going.

These games will tell us if we are a very good side or just a good side.

Might be a tough 1st Half but we always accelerate in the 2nd half so 2-1 to the Clarets

To be on less points than Blackburn suggests you're crap.

They crack me up, how can a side that’s lost two all season be considered just ‘good’

Even if we lose tomorrow, there’s absolutely no doubt in my mind we are the best or certainly top 2 in this division and I’m not being arrogant.

I think tomorrow may be a tough game and a defeat isn’t the end of the world, this sides shown we bounce straight back

obviously a potential defeat but I'll go for a win 1 - 2 regardless of what team is put out, not expecting a lot of new players to start but maybe a couple of cameo's. A draw would also be good but I'd like to match that record of 9 wins and be able to try and go on and beat it in the next game to set a new record.

Tactics could be interesting given they say they've found a few weaknesses to exploit, will it be a SU push and lot's of balls into the box from them, looking forward to see whatever it is and how VK counters.

I think we will edge this one. Will be a Rooney first 35-45 mins when Norwich do plenty of pressing and second half we will just change gear and get the big W

We are a very good side at the minute, but if we fail to beat any of the top 6 away from home by the end of the season, then I would class us as a good side.

Is that not a fair assessment?

We have beat top 6 sides away from home though. Sunderland, Swansea, QPR were all in top 6.
There’s 3 points between mid table and top 6 and other than top 2 the play off places have changed frequently.

We are a very good side.
Not only do the stats evidence that but more importantly our eyes do !!

Some key players out for sure. VK didn’t sound confident about others missing out. Hope he sets up slightly more defensively than usual. Draw would be a great result but knowing this team we will find a way

A very good side will beat most of the bottom half home ,& away ,& win at home & draw away against the top half ,that gives them 22 points short of a maximum that’s around 116 points, nobodies ever done that .I do apologise if my maths is wrong .

The advantage of changes - if we are forced into changes - is that Norwich won't have prepared for them

We have great depth. Confident our squad players and new arrivals can step up if they are called into action

If things go our way we could edge a win but a draw would be absolutely fine. I think we'll come away with something

Point taken about WBA, I was very happy with that performance, but did ultimately take a Twine worldie to pick up the 3pts and that was at home. Bournemouth was phenomenal but equally if we’re including cup games, Ipswich very lacklustre.

We have a similar journey, injuries (apparently ;) ) and away at a team we only beat narrowly at home, at a tough ground that’ll be bouncing. Will be delighted with a draw but more realistically think we may pick up our third defeat here. No shame in that mind.

Why will Carrow Road be 'bouncing'?
