I’m hearing rumours that there is no Player of The Year Awards again.
Anyone else heard anything?
We are going to the charity dinner but know a few people were waiting for the POYA.

Club probably can't make enough money out of it!

Re: No Player of the Year Awards?
Unfortunately, it looks as though the Supporters Clubs award won't be allowed either. The question was asked but no positive response unfortunately. We weren't even able to present a Beeky (Alan Beecroft Player of the Year Award) last season. This event has been held (pandemic apart) for the last quarter of a century.
Subsequently, the club have announced regarding the community dinner next month: "Don’t miss the **ONLY CHANCE THIS SEASON** to be in the room with the Manager & Burnley FC First Team!!" so that rules out any POTY events.

Yep and that dinner costs a fortune and is in Manchester so rules out most of the everyday supporter………
More of a corporate event in my eyes…………
I’ll just save my penny’s, applaud and cheer loudly at the last home match as they do their lap of honour with the trophy…………then head to The Big Window to get smashed at under £3 a pint!

Ah well, if the club doesn't want to do it, maybe BFC in the community could as a fund raiser.

Lancashire Cricket do something very similar with their POTY awards which is run by Lancs Foundation to raise funds for their worthwhile community cricket projects.
