You make it sound like you were a lonely voice in the wilderness . You probably had a couple of posters with a differing opinion in reality but continue playing the martyr if it makes you feel better.
Ekdal did look good and reminded me of Roeder ( the player )
You always get some saddo that wants to rain on your parade ,sounds like your being rather bitchy.

Inappropriate Carwin. Perhaps you should choose an alternate insulting adjective than that

Please take good care of our boy - kind regards, Djurgårdens IF
If you're curious about Hjalmar Ekdals childhood and early career, we recommend this short documentary. There are English subtitles available:

Cheers DIF ... we will try to look after him ... especially after that performance today ...
Oh yeah and welcome to the UTC board

That was my very first thought when I saw him too.
I originally thought Ray Deakin, but fair play.

Blimey, are there any players left who Ekdal doesn't remind posters on here of?
Thinking about it, he doesn't remind me very much of Brian Flynn.

Back to Ekdal's lack of real pace. If he was blidingly fast, we wouldn't have just bought him so cheaply.

I personally couldn’t be more impressed…. Not a hint of nervousness & a good poacher’s goal.
Passes equally well with either foot, can tackle & head it.
2.4 million …. Unreal!

Can’t help feeling there’s a song for him based on the song wrecking ball
He came in like Hjalmar Ekdal
On his debut he scored a goal
Or not

Hard to disagree given CT is probably 50 years older than him!

Pace isn't so important as long as he's someone along side who has. Thiago Silva has no pace! Lol
