Has been great for Burnley and I really like him but we shouldn’t give him a new deal if promoted

My man of the match yesterday. His hold up play was superb. Offered far more than the often lauded but usually anonymous Pukki.

Whenever I see his name mentioned, the image I see is him barging the Rovers keeper into the back of the net.
Yes. I can see that becoming a Clarets legendary image, a bit like that woman crying at the Orient game, or SJF
hanging on the fence at York.

He's still being a shithouse, which is good, but he hasn't been hitting the deck this season, as of old. I think VK must have told him, it isn't worth it, because the refs ain't giving you owt. He's a better player for staying on his feet imo.

Tarkowski was a master at blocking off ooposition players at set pieces but Barnes has taken it to another level

Summed it up methinks Colburn_C Barnes under VK is a different animal ... a shithouser but not a diving shithouser 😉

He did it a few times earlier in the season, but never got a free kick for it.

He’s a wonderful player - a talisman - hope we keep him for another season.
