Dervisoglu
Is he still at the club-I thought he may have moved in the window but read nothing to suggest it
Re: Dervisoglu
Surprised he's still around to be honest

Can only go back to Brentford, they must not want him back.

Re: Dervisoglu
If he can’t get in our team I’d doubt very much they want him back.
Re: Dervisoglu
He may as well be back training with Brentford as up here, shame for the lad.
Re: Dervisoglu
I thought he could play in places like Turkey. Obviously, if that is the case, he would rather win the league here!

Must be that Brentford don’t want to pick up his wages.

Re: Dervisoglu
You can't send a loan player back, he can only be recalled. The problem here is that Dervişoğlu made one Premier League and one League Cup appearance for Brentford at the start of the season which means he can't play for any other club which ruled out the option for Brentford to recall him and send him to another club in the way we have done with Tnomas and Weghorst.

Re: Dervisoglu
I heard that we were trying to fix him up with with an MLS club, if not he was going to remain as a first team squad member.
VK says he has just been unlucky because others are doing well ahead of him at the moment.
He didn’t say this but a rejuvenated Barnes has certainly, maybe unexpectedly reduced his chances?

Re: Dervisoglu
Gonna be a problem for a few of our squad as literally “ victims of our own success” will mean some will really struggle to get established . Bastien /Churlinov , Twine and assorted others are clearly all talents but may spend far more time on the bench .
Re: Dervisoglu
It's a shame, he always looked good when he came on.

I think Jay could find himself on this list soon, with Barnes, Tella, Foster and soon Obefami ahead of himAlargeClaret wrote: ↑Sun Feb 05, 2023 12:02 pmGonna be a problem for a few of our squad as literally “ victims of our own success” will mean some will really struggle to get established . Re: Dervisoglu
I've liked the looks of Bastien as a package but still not sure of his role in this formation, he's not quite a defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder or winger, but he's decent all around, I think he's probably most suited to a box to box or slightly attacking midfield role in a 433. Perhaps even a Scott Arfield type narrow winger.AlargeClaret wrote: ↑Sun Feb 05, 2023 12:02 pmGonna be a problem for a few of our squad as literally “ victims of our own success” will mean some will really struggle to get established . Twine’s been very unlucky, I'd like to see more of him and my only disappointment yesterday was that he didn't get on.
Churlinov has been unlucky too, since coming back from injury he hasn't looked as sharp but he's also had the misfortune of all his positional rivals hitting great form.
Dervisoglu has looked decent in the glimpses he's had but I can't see him getting near the team again with Jay, Barnes, Foster and Obafemi all ahead of him. Shame, but glad he got a goal.

Re: Dervisoglu
Very possible , though Tella is surely way ahead already and Obefami should clearly be . I’d still say Jay has played an important role this season both in goals and a very deep role making chances rare . Though along with Barnes , Cork surely in his Swanson season .warksclaret wrote: ↑Sun Feb 05, 2023 12:18 pmI think Jay could find himself on this list soon, with Barnes, Tella, Foster and soon Obefami ahead of him
Re: Dervisoglu
Didn’t see much from Foster when he came on. But early days. He must be very decent for us to pay about 8 mill

I felt a little sorry for Fister yesterday.
He came on when we were just managing the game as opposed to attacking and searching out more goals.

Re: Dervisoglu
Foster has to start against Ipswich and give him a fair run out.
