Yes, many times.
In fact, all being well, I'll be there next weekend. Flying to Malaga on Thurs to our place on the costa.
Seville is beautiful and of course it depends on what tickles your fancy.
Lovely sights - the Alcazar, the bull ring (worth a tour), walks by the river into Betis etc etc.
You must have tapas and ice-cold sherry early evening(s) in the many bars.
If travelling independenly and with a car, Italica is a must - fantastic roman remains with a complete amphitheatre just a few miles outside Seville. Not many folk know about it, so usually very quiet and free entry. Believe me, it's fantastic.
Sevilla is a great place, we love it. Just try to avoid getting knocked over by the very modern and very quiet, trams !

Beautiful city.
On top of alf_rescos tips go up the Giralda tower for a superb city view, Plaza de Espana, cross the river into Triana, colourful courtyards if the flowers are out, take in a match one of Sevilla or Betis will be at home most weekends.

Have a G & T in the Hotel Alfonso X111, a real treat.
Very very hot in summer though.

I’ve been fortunate to travel extensively and I would say that Seville is one of the best places I’ve been too.

In the summer it will be scorching but luckily the streets are narrow and you walk in the shady side. Hotels are a lot cheaper in summer as well

The English Gardens are worth a look and the tapas bars at night, but beware of some of the bar owners who are a bit crafty. They ask if you would like some cheese to go with your drink implying that it's on the house like many tapas, then they add 12 Euros to your bill. Not crime of the century stuff -- it just rubs you up the wrong way. Being on the plain it can either be very hot or very cold, so best to prepare for both, especially in spring. A lovely city well worth the visit.

I once got charged for knives and forks at a restaurant in Seville. They nearly got away with until the one Spanish speaker in our group questioned it.
