I’m not making a case that City are weaker with Haaland in the side because he blanked today - I’m suggesting it may be the case due to the fact that City don’t seem as good a team with him in it - their results could be used as evidence to back this point up.
God knows why pep must have him down as an automatic starter, take the goals away he's scored & see where they are on second thoughts pep must be better off consulting you before he makes his selection, because haaland is so dangerous he's getting marked more robustly, you could say nullify haaland nullify city.

Selling Jesus, Mane and Sterling was a massive mistake and thinking Kyle Walker can still defend and then bomb forward is as well
Too many slow and backwards passes with only Grealish up for taking his marker on and attacking

That was a real clever argument you’ve just made (and then immediately argued against)

City, with Haaland in the side, will ultimately prevail in the Premier League this season. Arsenal are second best.

Interesting co.menta about Haaland. I read an article a few weeks ago saying exactly the same thing (they are worse with him) and using other sides as part if the argument where a star player actually was detrimental to the overall team because they didn't really gel into the strengths of that side.

He scores goals but overall city are scoring less. I'd say that makes them worse with him than without.

Football is a team game nit an individual game. Very very rarely a player comes along who can carry a side buy they're not usually strikers.

Possibly by the end of Wood’s time here. Although we were set up to play to Wood’s strengths.

I think Arsenal will win it. The reason being that I don’t see a strong enough challenger. Either way though, it doesn’t prove or disprove the question I was posing about Haaland.

Is Haaland a school yard bully?
Seems to score hatfuls against lesser teams but doesn’t show up when they need him.

City just knocked it about far too slow. We have done the same at times this season. It gives the opposition time to pick up players, fill the gaps and organise.
When City, and Burnley move the ball quickly, there isn't a team, at our respective levels, that can live with us.
Totally self inflicted by Citeh, and it isn't the first time.

Haaland's problem is team mates trying to lay it on a plate for him. He doesn't need anything putting on a plate, he feeds off half chances that lesser players can't.

That's a fair point, TT.......but still believe they have enough to see off a poor Arsenal side.

Yet Arsenal will likely be 8 points ahead of City on Saturday night. Not sure on what basis they can be classed as a poor team.

Still many games and points to play for......the cream inevitably rises to the top (even with Grealish).

Different side without De Bruyne - they have a huge hole to fill when he hangs it up
Just half watching MOTD and I might have missed why Lewis was playing instead of KDB. I'm obviously not disagreeing with how important and wonderful a player he is but there was a moment in the second half where Alvarez sells him short on a pass and he stops and watches Spurs break. Perhaps all is not well with him and Pep. As we've seen with the national team, he can show a bit of tude.

Maybe he fancies playing for Kompany.

I enjoyed the moment when Pep got upset with Royal who stayed on the ground feigning (probably) an injury.
