Don’t forget BARCELONA AND BAYERN MUNICH, you need a track record for a club of the stature of Leeds

Re: Dyche to Leeds.....
I’ve lived in Leeds for 20 years and as a result I’m unfortunate enough to have quite a lot of mates who are Leeds fans, and I’ve never once heard of any particular bad blood with Man City. And certainly nothing that would dissuade an ex-Man City player from becoming a manager of Leeds.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 6:34 pmBAD historical crowd trouble (70s/80s/90s), they do not get on whatsoever (something about Leeds attacking a dad and his son springs to mind in the 80's). Not as bad as the Leeds Man Utd rivalry though

well 20 years is far less than 70's-90's as i stated. Go on youtube, clearly they love each other Either way, let's hope they don't even think about Kompany !!!Rileybobs wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 6:40 pmI’ve lived in Leeds for 20 years and as a result I’m unfortunate enough to have quite a lot of mates who are Leeds fans, and I’ve never once heard of any particular bad blood with Man City. Sounds rather unpleasant & possible grounds for VK to hold a grudge, I don't think there's any danger of him leaving anyway far too much unfinished business here.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 6:47 pmwell 20 years is far less than 70's-90's as i stated. In which case I doubt Kompany will remember or care about crowd trouble from 50 years ago.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 6:47 pmwell 20 years is far less than 70's-90's as i stated. Go on youtube, clearly they love each other Either way, let's hope they don't even think about Kompany !!!
Doesn’t really matter if they consider Kompany, he’ll be on a lot of shortlists, he isn’t going to take that job with the two clubs in their respective positions so we have nothing to worry about.

Why is whenever a. manager is sacked Burnley fans rush on here to pristitute our manager for the vacancy? It's as if we are in need of something to cause collective angst. Why can't we just enjoy our incredible season whilst Leeds struggle.

and I'll add, the hatred is far more from the City side which is what I said in the first place. Agree though, no chance he goes thereRileybobs wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 6:51 pmIn which case I doubt Kompany will remember or care about crowd trouble from 50 years ago.

The key word is some you have missed - some of us have said it's very unlikely bordering on a daft suggestion.Cirrus_Minor wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 7:05 pmWhy is whenever a. manager is sacked Burnley fans rush on here to pristitute our manager for the vacancy? Maybe, but why mention it in the first place? It's as if we all feel that if we have any success it's all going to end because we don't really deserve it.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 7:09 pmThe key word is some you have missed - some of us have said it's very unlikely bordering on a daft suggestion.

Re: Dyche to Leeds.....
Wrong guy, going back it's woodleyclaret & believe it or not social media sources are to blame so you'll have to ask him, from what I can gather most of us on here have been saying it's unlikely that VK would entertain the idea & that's assuming he was approached, reading in between the lines somebody's thought Burnley are doing well & VK & Leeds need a new manager & it's been linked, it'll probably happen when Jones goes at Southampton I think he'll be next gone.Cirrus_Minor wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 7:19 pmMaybe, but why mention it in the first place? I went to Elland Road with a Leeds supporting friend and saw a match v Man City in the 70s. As we left the ground we saw Leeds 'fans' stone every window in a Man City supporters coach full of away fans setting off home. It was terrifying to see. Never want to go there again

Re: Dyche to Leeds.....
343 days Marsch lasted, mind you with this win % I'm not surprised he was pushed.
David O'Leary - 75 wins from 145 matches (51.7%)
Howard Wilkinson - 64 wins from 169 matches (37.9%)
Marcelo Bielsa - 23 wins from 64 matches (35.9%)
George Graham - 28 wins from 78 matches (35.9%)
Terry Venables - 10 wins from 30 matches (33.3%)
Peter Reid - 6 wins from 20 matches (30%)
Jesse Marsch - 8 wins from 32 matches (25%)
Eddie Gray - 6 wins from 25 matches (24%)
Corberan seems his likely successor, no PL experience however he was at Leeds previously as U23 coach.

Re: Dyche to Leeds.....
Marsch was hopeless but I don't think win rates are always the best barometer to judge managers on. Dyche only had a 28% win rate in the Premier League with Burnley and on the most part what he achieved was phenomenaltiger76 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 10:47 am343 days Marsch lasted, mind you with this win % I'm not surprised he was pushed.

Can't you create a second account so that you don't have to break character?Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 11:50 amMarsch was hopeless but I don't think win rates are always the best barometer to judge managers on. It spoils the fun when you say something sensible.
Re: Dyche to Leeds.....
Feel sorry for Jesse. Come across as a nice bloke but a little out of his depth. Strange the board allowed him to sign a few players shortly before binning him.
Not sure who would take that job now. Deluded Leeds fans I’ve spoken to want poch. More realistic ones wouldn’t mind Ange Postecoglou.
It would be a step up from Celtic but a big job for someone with no elite management experience

I see cry baby Bamford is at it again according to the BBC. He’s blaming Marsch for tactics in the last game and not playing somebody alongside him.

Leeds supporting mate I spoke to hoped they might get Ange Postecoglou and thought he was about the best they could realistically hope for at this stageInchy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 12:28 pmFeel sorry for Jesse. Re: Dyche to Leeds.....
Never really understood the appointment.
Seemed very much out of his depth with the way he set up the team most weeks. He’s spent quite a lot of money on players too - whether these play better under a new manager or not will be interesting.
Bamford has been out injured most of the time under JM’s reign so it’s a bit rich for him to be critical now.
If Everton and Leeds did go down and we pass them on the way…..coupled with Blackburn’s inevitable slide towards 16th or 17th place……this will surely go down as one of THE best seasons ever !!

Seems to be between Andoni Iraola and Arne Slot.
VK showing nowhere near at 66/1.
