Game v Ipswich

Al-Dakhil voted Man of the Match in the ground, can anyone vouch for that?

your argument was no matter how many times you see it. I told you you were wrong because they've introduced VAR into the game. I wasn't talking about that specific incident, you might want to be careful what you say sunshine

Game changed when Barnes and JBG came on. 3 shots in 70 minutes, plenty since.
Funny how Burnley and Blades fortunes are so aligned this season.

Bit of a disappointing game but at least we're through. Hopefully Foster's injury isn't too severe.

Re: Game v Ipswich
No surprise. Cullen and Brownhill are both massive upgrades on Bastien, on evidence we've seen so far. Sounds like Churlinov added better balance than Vitinho on the wing too.burnleymik wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 9:46 pmIt is now....

Re: Game v Ipswich
Tough customers Ipswich, very competitive and fit side. They'd be mid table in the Championship I think.
All about the result tonight, nothing more. We're in the hat and one game against Fleetwood from a Quarter Final, brilliant.

So when we win the cup, do we still get a European tour with it? Or did they change that recently?
Can't hurt to dream! We've got a big enough squad for it now at least.

Phew that was a grind by the sound of it, however yet again we strike late.
A tasty Lancs derby in round 5.
Tella at the double to seal our last 16 place, and he's now our leading scorer.

Don’t want to sound pedantic, but strictly speaking we’re not “in the hat”. We were in the hat a week ago but now we’re out of the hat and in the next round!jedi_master wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 9:47 pmTough customers Ipswich, very competitive and fit side. Looks like VK gave some of the fringe players a chance to impress and they were not convincing. From what I have read the three late subs had a big impact

Re: Game v Ipswich
So what have we learnt?
Bastien is not going to be a hit?
Twine still needs more time?
Foster has a way to go before he;s ready for English football?
Al D looks a good find?
We still rely on some of the old Prem players for a killing edge?

Re: Game v Ipswich
What have we learned?
That the promotion could be won at Deadwood. One game away from that being a tad delayed, and, to the chagrin of the Lancashire plod, midweek.
I felt the original date was too close to be a promotion decider. Could be now, if we beat Fleetwood.

Neither did Robbie Blake, Steven Fletcher, Zaroury, Andre Gray, Sam Vokes, Nick Pope or Danny Ings after a game and a half.
Tony Hancock had a good first game mind.
