Foster
Any news on the injury? Hope it isn't too serious.
Re: Foster
Been stated on the Times website as cramp same as Tella ...
"But it turned out to be a good night for Burnley fans after Tella popped up with a winner in added time to book his side a date with Fleetwood Town in the next round.
Burnley coach Vincent Kompany also confirmed that Foster had just suffered a cramp and was not seriously injured.
Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on Foster's night, with many predicting he would get better with time."

Re: Foster
The Turfcast Twitter page has a tweet this morning saying Kompany confirmed post-match that it was just cramp.

Re: Foster
Incidentally, anyone heard about the state of Benson's
injury? Any chance for PNE?

Re: Foster
VK said after the game that him, Jay and Muric are ‘close, day by day but they are close’ - sounds like a chance for PNE.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 12:53 pmIncidentally, anyone heard about the state of Benson's

Re: Foster
Tella does so much running, a significant amount at full speed, and looks like he gets cramp regularly close to 90 minutes-its fully understandable. This guy is a real talent-coming up with a goal or winner when you are expecting the opposition to shut us out and game manage. Would be interesting to see how many points his goals have earned us-last night it got us through the next round. What a great loan he is proving

Re: Foster
Good news if it's only cramp as opposed to a strain.
It might take a little while for him to get up to speed. I think it's been a step up in ability and, as a lot of foreign players remark on, a big step up in intensity.

Definetley has been a step up in all aspects of the game. Hoping to see him improve under the tutelage of Kompany and Bellamy.

This team is still improving 6 months on, it's unlikely Foster will click in such a short space of time.Silkyskills1 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 1:35 pmDefinetley has been a step up in all aspects of the game. Hoping to see him improve under the tutelage of Kompany and Bellamy.
He needs the minutes, and we need to be patient.

Re: Foster
At the end of Clarets Uncut Foster can be seen with ice bags strapped to his calves so presumably just cramp.

Re: Foster
I’m not a physio but I’ve never used ice on a cramp. That just needs rest. Ice packs are taking the heat out of an injury.
I’m sure there will be a physio along to correct me.

Re: Foster
In addition to stretching, adding heat to your cramping muscles with either a heating pad or a warm bath can help relax and increase blood flow to the cramping muscle(s). Conversely, an ice pack can help ease the pain of a leg cramp while you wait for it to subside.

Re: Foster
On a few occasions I have cramped while cycling. Last year I did a 100 mile charity ride and at the finish the hamstrings, calves, and lats in both legs all cramped. The emergency meds on site immediately applied heat while pouring pickle juice down my neck. After the heat they went straight to ice. Ice helps the inflammation caught within cramped muscles, not the immediate painTricky Trevor wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 2:22 pmI’m not a physio but I’ve never used ice on a cramp. Heat or ice - either will do.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 2:22 pmI’m not a physio but I’ve never used ice on a cramp. That just needs rest. Ice packs are taking the heat out of an injury.

Sooths the initial pain but primary use is to stop any inflammation. If it’s in your lower calf it could easily be a pulled muscle or cramp - you won’t necessarily know. Either way ice pack or heat will help.

Re: Foster
For the immediate relief of cramp, stand on a cold floor bare footed, never failed.
That was passed on to me by my mother, apparently it's what doctors used to advise pregnant women where cramp is common.
