Brilliant win. Tough a test as you'll get in terms of physicality, pitch and key injuries against us. Couldn't play our usual game but played better second half.

Special shoutout to Muric, Ekdal and Taylor who were outstanding.

I guess that's how teams felt playing against us under Dyche. Luton were big, strong and long ball, but that's about it.

Would probably have settled for two points against these and Millwall given all our injuries.

Barnes brilliant. Shows true leadership. So much more than just what he does with his feet.

Barnes sorting out the Bedfordshire backroom staff. Resolute.

A fantastic 3 points. You can't play well every game, sometimes you have to grind tough opponents down which we have done in the last 2 games. Hopefully, VK and co, will have learned a lot about the team.this week. On we go.

Three massive points, Muric, Ekdal and Taylor outstanding, Barnes had to fight today, some of our players went missing. They reminded me of Wimbledon’s crazy gang at their worst. Glad it’s all over.

Ugly win that but Luton made it an ugly game. Those are the games that Champions win.

There's only Boro can take this title from us now. Sheffield are finished.

After Tuesday that showed huge character and the record is still on

Looking at the stats we had the better in pretty much every single one of them - apart from red card count.

Our January signings are looking very valuable especially with the injuries we seem to be picking up! Hopefully see Benny back soon followed by Beyer and THB. Tella looked like a hamstring but hopefully not too bad

Ultimately we probably deserved it - Luton will feel hard done to as they carved out the best chance of the game and fluffed it but really they just hacked it long all game except the last 10 when we dropped deep. They were probably the worst side (but one of the most effective) I have seen all season

Someone said this must be what other sides felt when we played them with Dyche but that is nonsense. We played dire t but also some good stuff under Dyche - especially in the Championship.

Thought Cork, Cullen and Ekdal were good and Taylor showed some dogged defending and the rest were pretty average.

We need someone better than Barnes playing that false number 9 role but once we got the pen wouldn't want anyone else than him on it

Still it's another win and it's good to see over some recent games we can mix it up and still get results

Don’t agree that Luton “made it ugly”. They pressed very well and didn’t give us time on the ball. Won contests all over the pitch and we resorted to aimless balls up the channels then lost easy possession.
Well played to Luton, they were impressive.

No. I don't. But I think they will have a better chance than Sheffield. The need to keep in touch has been dragging Sheffield along but weve cintinued to edge to a point whee the belief goes. I think the result on Tuesday effectively was them rounding the corner for the bell in 2nd place and seeing us kick again to open a gap.

We will win the league by more than I thought now (I said it would be 10 points in November)

I also think we will take Readings record

I agree - but it made for an ugly game. Fair paly to them - their game plan was very effective. And their commentary team said no game for them Tuesdsy so they could go hell for leather to the death

Horrible game.

We concentrated on them a bit too much in hindsight. We expected a big bombardment from them, but it never came.
They were poor but we played within ourselves giving them too much respect.

The keeper and defence handled the long balls into the box that did come very well, which hopefully gives us more confidence to play our own way at Millwall.

No I think you need to give Luton credit. They didn't try to play it around too much - hack it long and work on the 2nd ball and press us hard and fast. But it worked and put us on the back foot.

Second half we were far more effective and I think we probably score anyway - we began to take chances but the penalty and sending off effectively made them feel hard done to and gave them a second wind
