Tense battle to stay in the Prem.
After away wins for Bournemouth and Southampton it's suddenly tightening up down there again.
Can't be certain but everyone from Leicester and above should be fine though they can't afford to relax quite yet.
Leeds in deep trouble though despite the managerial change.
2 wins in 2 home games for SD at Everton now, and 2 classic 1-0 wins.

I still think Saints will drop, hopefully accompanied by Leeds.
Can't really split the rest. Might even go to the last games.

Re: Tense battle to stay in the Prem.
Ideally I’d want both Leeds and Everton to go after last season but it’s unlikely

One might I doubt both will, right now Leeds look in far greater danger than Everton, but it's so close one result can suddenly change the picture drastically.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 6:39 pmIdeally I’d want both Leeds and Everton to go after last season but it’s unlikely

Caretaker managers at Leeds and Southampton and essentially the same at Bournemouth - Everton have lucked out getting Sean he will know far too much for the competition. Today was huge they will be well out of trouble with him in charge

Am I the only one that hasn’t followed the prem all year, absolutely hate it, and as much as I want us to win the league, I’m already thinking, here we go again…
I just hate the whole affair, I’ll be there because I love my club but I just know the excitement will leave me again

Bookies currently have Bournemouth, Southampton and Everton to drop.
That would be good for us next season, having those 3 drop out.

Would like to see Southampton, Bournemouth & Leeds scrape survival on the grounds that I don't think they can get their house in order before we start playing them next season.
So on that logic Everton, West Ham, Wolves to go down as they have a lot of financial clout. Strongest down, weakest stay for us, please.

I guess we can all dream of another European tour, I just hope we get two seasons out of someone I believe will go all the way to the top
I just cba with Liverpool at home at 1pm on a Sunday, I’m just not interested in seeing the top players etc but I understand why some do

Agree 100% - it's maybe wishful thinking but where before we've had to conform to fit in at the highest level I'm hoping this time we can retain the unique identity that VK has created for us. It would be great if we could go out there and play our own game as opposed to the backs against the wall underdogs feeding off scraps of possessionBurnley1989 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 7:09 pmIf we go up, I think we will stay up.

It's an odd place. The city itself has some great spots, lots to see, good bars and places to eat, nice parks etc., and also has some slums like all cities, but the people are definitely 'different'Claretitus wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2023 8:45 amSame here, detest the place with a passion. I find it quite amusing and ironic that they consider themselves 'Scouse not English' and look down on people who aren't Scouse as I don't really know anyone who isn't Scouse that would want it the other way round

I don't mind the Albert Dock area and its Maritime museum. The Western Approaches Museum is also worth a visit and the same goes for the Museum of Liverpool. Then there's all the Beatles stuff, if you're into that. You just have to see past the parochiality of some of those who live there.

It is metaphysically impossible Everton to go down.
Re: Tense battle to stay in the Prem.
Reading the Leeds board they could be in trouble if they drop. They say Leeds have borrowed money against the Premier League money. If it's true they would have to sell their best players to pay back the loan. They would have to find a 'Kompany' to do what we have done.

Leeds West Ham Bournemouth
Although Wolves in with a shout.
Southampton new 'interim' man is switched on and sorting them.
I would love Everton to go down, but not managed by our Sean. He deserves a miracle.
When they replace him in the Summer, then they can disintegrate!

Re: Tense battle to stay in the Prem.
Big wins for Leeds and West Ham today to see both move out of the bottom 3, a damaging home defeat for Everton to ramp up the pressure on SD again.
Everyone from 12th downwards will still be anxiously looking over their shoulders a mere 5 points between Palace in 12th and Bournemouth in 18th.

Re: Tense battle to stay in the Prem.
I’ve just finished watching the Eve/AVL game….what a blood and thunder game it was. I thought ours was good, but it was pure football vs the gut-busting effort this was. McNeil played really well BTW. Although Everton lost, if they play with that passion they’ll be reet
Re: Tense battle to stay in the Prem.
I think for Leeds it was almost a must-win game. Have you seen their remaining games!?
They have 14 games left which include:
Chelsea (a)
Brighton (h)
Wolves (a)
Arsenal (a)
Palace (h)
Liverpool (h)
Fulham (a)
Man City (a)
Newcastle (h)
West Ham (a)
Spurs (h)
That's 11 tough games from 14.

Big win for Wolves today to ease their fears.
Bournemouth, Leeds, Palace and West Ham all lose on the road.
Saints-Leicester the evening KO in a key game.

I really don't want Everton to go down. With SD in charge and some former players in there I'd like them to stay up
Much prefer Leeds to go down tbh.

Would absolutely love Everton to go down. They are the main one for me. After that Leeds. But i still think Bournemouth and Saints will drop.

Chris Wood to score the winner today.

Everton, Leeds and then one of Forest or West Ham. But definitely Everton and Leeds.
