Tunnel Bust Up
Did something happen in the tunnel at full time, a fan said they were fighting but couldn’t see anything other than the protective cover shaking a bit.

Re: Tunnel Bust Up
The commentators said Barnes and two of Lutons backroom staff were having a do with each other after the final whistle, but it didn't show the tunnel.

Bellamy was absolutely furious (red faced raging) with someone at the end of the game on the pitch, couldn’t see who it was as camera panned away.

Re: Tunnel Bust Up
Yes, with our current injury list, it would be great for him to pick up some kind of retrospective ban.
This isn't criticism of Barnes by the way, since I've no idea what happened and whether it was avoidable, and nothing may come of it, but for anyone to be praising him for getting involved in something unnecessary with all these games coming up seems a bit odd.
Never thought I'd be saying this but Barnes is turning out to be a v important player for us at this tough point in a long season.
Let's hope it was something and nothing, since he's already been charged once this season.

Ash was completetly the innocent party and yet he still came out on top.
Barnes is Burnley through and through, and be grateful for that fact.

The whole of the Luton team did today to be fair. Apart from scoring the penalty he was completely ineffective and was probably our worst player on the pitch today

I said that I hoped there was nothing to it, as I hadn't seen it, but we know Barnes has a bit of a reputation and the authorities will find any excuse to punish him.If "he came out on top" then there was clearly something but hopefully your interpretation is correct and will prevail.

That might be your interpretation DA, but not that of all serious minded Burnley fans.
I can assure you 100% that no player is more committed to Burnley Football Club than Ashley Barnes, no matter what his limitations as a player.

Never said he isn't committed and think he's a top bloke and will be brilliant around the squad.
Having him as a regular starter is what concerns me as he stifles the fluidity of our play and it's started to show the last couple of games

It's not that difficult to be happy with a win and still have an opinion on the team and players performances without it all being 100% positive. It is a message board after all

If only you could converse with the other players in our team, you would 100% understand how important Ash is in to be included in the starting eleven. They love him to bits and he would always be the first player on their teamsheet, no matter what the main man VK might select.
Re: Tunnel Bust Up
We need him against teams that play like Watford and Luton did, and Millwall probably will.

Now I'm home (with another whiskey), can't tell how much that three points meant to me.
DA, please tell me you understand the point I'm desperately trying to drive home about Ashley ?
He is crucial to everything the Club stands for and thanfully, VK accepts that more than anyone.

No, I think Barnes was poor today and it seems people have gone back to thinking him throwing himself about and battling hard is worthy of a good performance.
He's had a couple of great games recently but ultimately I think he slows down our play and our football isn't as fluid and as good with him up top instead of Jay.
How's Muric doing? You finally stopped slagging him off every game yet boo boy
