Funny, but i seem to recall posters on here saying the championship would be more physically demanding than the PL??

It is. The lower down the divisions you go, the more strength + long direct balls wins you games.

Yeah I think people mean ‘more physical’ here basically as ‘rougher’.

Refs tend to be a bit more lenient, no var etc.

I am unsure.
There are top athletes in the top 2 divisions, I doubt the physical demands are wildly different in either league.
