Strong starting 11, and attack minded bench.Great to have such a strong squad even with 4 key players injured

Surprised that Cork misses out again, but we can have players like him on the bench and still have a very strong lineup.

Presume Churlinov is injured ,thought he would have definitely been in the squad today.

Would’ve liked to have seen Churlinov on the bench after the other night. Interesting having three strikers on the bench when we play one up front.

Between him and Taylor but VK does not seem to like CT at FB. Vitinho has generally played there if Maatsen was not available

Churlinov apparently out with a leg injury.

Vitinho at left back?
Possibly, although Roberts played on the left when he came on midweek and Taylor moved into the centre

He played outstanding there, when Maatsen was suspended. With both JBG and Zaroury in front of him, he shouldn't need to get caught out of position.

Maatsen is a miss, but a strong line-up elsewhere, good to see Zaroury starting, and Barnes coming in isn't a surprise.

Plenty of attacking options on the bench if we need them, though hopefully we won't.

I quite like it when Zaroury drops back sometimes so there's the option where he and Vitinho can swap places.

That's a pity, he looked sharp on Wednesday.

What's happening with Benson?
Been out since Jan v WBA and weren't we told it was nothing serious?

We do have a great squad with depth. UTC

Vitinho is much more comfortable stepping inside to play tight stuff in that old-school left half position than Taylor is. That's why he's in. With Zaroury comfortable going on the outside to provide the width, the fact he's right footed doesn't really matter.

VK said he may be back before the International break but it sounded like they wanted to ideally give both him and Jay until after the break. But with the game vs City, he might come back sooner.

This, and Taylor rarely finds Zaroury with really telling passes from the left back position. Vitinho being right-footed it's easier to play quality balls up the line.

Shame Churlinov isn't playing alongside JBG, quite like a bit of Sony & Chur.

No commentary here either, someone should ring Phil Bird on his mobile and tell him that he's talking to himself.

I know Phil Bird and someone with a scottish accent, possibly Ross Wallace, were chatting just before the game on Clarets+. They suddenly shut up so I can only think there is a problem with their microphones.
