Re: Brownhill injury. Any news?
well VK said he hoped to have Brownhill back before the end of the season which would suggest at least a few weeks out at a minimum. VK has long said he wont rush people like Benson back but expects them to be ready after the international break

Looks like 13 days break.
Re: Brownhill injury. Any news?
Think the break is coming at a decent time for us.

They won't risk any of em if there's the least doubt.
From the admittedly little ive seen of Wigan, we could probably play the tea lady and beat them.

Benson is the main one, without him I think we'll struggle to get top two.

The tea lady is struggling too; she’s carrying a couple of bad brews(es).ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 5:59 pmThey won't risk any of em if there's the least doubt.

Re: Brownhill injury. Any news?
Didn't we have a guy called Taylor Harwood-Bellis on loan from City? Last seen down in Bournemouth 8th Jan. I know we signed two very good CHs in January. I know Jordan Beyer is also excellent. When do we expect THB to be back competing for the shirt?

Re: Brownhill injury. Any news?
Totally agree with Kirk as in it's a poor attempt tbf, but I'll concede that the opening is absolutely fine, as Benson really is the one we miss by far the most much of the time. He's certainly the best one at unlocking those Fort Knox defenses!

Re: Brownhill injury. Any news?
Swollen ankle which could be a sprain (at the time I got the news).
Could be about a month out if it’s as was thought to be.

Re: Brownhill injury. Any news?
If it's only a month out then Brownhill may not miss that many games given it's FA Cup weekend soon swiftly followed by the international break.
Re: Brownhill injury. Any news?
I don’t want her any where near the first team. I’ve heard she is a bit of a stirrer.maccclaret wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 6:08 pmThe tea lady is struggling too; she’s carrying a couple of bad brews(es).

Looks like Brownhill available for Sunderland and Maatsen available this Saturday-great news for both. Sure Cork can more than cover for Josh in meantime

Where is that from?
The presser?

Re: Brownhill injury. Any news?
From the Press Conference:
For Brownhill, Kompany basically said, "yep, unavailable" and then went on to talk about the pitch and how it's normally a lengthy injury but said he certainly expects him to be back before the end of the season and is hoping for the first game after the International break.
For Maatsem, he's fine.
Jay and Benson are both back in training. The decision is to be made on whether they'll play before internationals or wait until after.

Re: Brownhill injury. Any news?
Slightly better news then. Cork has a had a decent break recently with his suspensions, should be raring to go.
Re: Brownhill injury. Any news?
When fully fit will he be an automatic selection?
Re: Brownhill injury. Any news?
Cork will get 3 match ban if he has 5 more bookings before the end of the season, not counting play offs, probably need to pick,& choose when he plays,I’d play him every game until Brownhill is back.
