Outstanding are:
Cumbria
Northumberland
Derbyshire
Lincolnshire

Worcestershire
Warwickshire
Norfolk
Suffolk
Gloucestershire
Wiltshire
Berkshire
Dorset
Cambridgeshire

5 I’ve never heard of, 1 better known for another talent and 1 not closely associated with the county(although it is correct).

Some of these are a bit dubious to say the least (Little Boots :D)!

... and on that basis, I'm going to claim Queen for Norfolk, on the basis that Roger Taylor is from Kings Lynn :D
Failing that... maybe Mylene Klass or Beth Orton?

Going out on a tangent here, but:-

Suffolk - Benjamin britten - Aldeburgh. Put the place on the map.
Gloucestershire - Ralph Vaughan Williams. Also excellent.

Both fun to sing.

Lincolnshire ought to be William Byrd. I guess he is the most famous musician to come from the place, but whether he's sold many records is another thing as he's pretty boring. Taverner ( not the Bristol City one) more likely.

For Durham that would only be Bryan Ferry. Although he would be worth considering in his own right.
