Going out on a tangent here, but:-
Suffolk - Benjamin britten - Aldeburgh. Put the place on the map.
Gloucestershire - Ralph Vaughan Williams. Also excellent.
Both fun to sing.
Lincolnshire ought to be William Byrd. I guess he is the most famous musician to come from the place, but whether he's sold many records is another thing as he's pretty boring. Taverner ( not the Bristol City one) more likely.

Could not agree more. Saw Roxy in Manchester in September as part of 50th anniversary tour. They were even better than I remember them back in their halcyon days

For Durham that would only be Bryan Ferry. Although he would be worth considering in his own right.

That's the one I saw too. Would be flabbergasted if anyone guessed Nicola Roberts. Girls Aloud, Scouser/wool, has the accent. But born in Lincolnshire.
