This year’s Classic Football Shirt
I know that we’ll 99% likely change all of our kits, but have to say, the story behind this season’s classic shirt has really hit the mark with a lot of fans. It’s a unique shirt; it has a story and it stands out…a lot….however, some don’t like it!
The third kit is more plain and classy and the black kit is striking and again, quite novel.
Would you be opposed to us donning the same home kit in the Premier League next year?
Would you like our relationship with Classic Football Shirts to continue, but with a new home shirt, adapted from another memorable Burnley season of days gone by?
Thoughts appreciated!
Keep it Claret!

Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
Yes, MASSIVELY opposed to the keeping of the home shirt. It’s an absolute abomination, as is the black away shirt.
The teal away shirt gets a reprieve on the proviso we have the same colour shorts.
Not the party line on here as I know the home shirt has been well received but to me it’s just as bad as the one it’s paying homage to.
Rub it out and start again I’m afraid… using the famous V shirt from about 73 as inspiration. And yes, keep with CFS as sponsor and supplier.

Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
I would absolutely welcome Classic Football Shirts
I would welcome their take on the shirts from 79 to 81, and the fact that those shirts were also made by umbro would fit well
I would also welcome their take on the V shirt from the 70s
Unfortunately i imagine we are going to sell the sponsorship rights to whichever Chinese betting company has the deepest pockets

Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
Home kit is fantastic, best for years and years. Away kit is great but would have preferred CFS to be on that one too. Third is a good idea but difficult to compete with the first one as I think it really is that nice.
All for CFS next season, it's given us quite a bit of a commercial and media lift.

Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
Money talks unfortunately, especially now we're back in the big time. If there's money to be made with a new kit and sponsor we will be doing.

Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
I'd like to think CFS could maybe continue sponsoring the away shirt if the home shirt goes to a betting company.
We have had some brilliant yellow and claret away shirts over the years

Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
I loved CFS as a company, before they became our sponsor - so irrespective of kit colours; I'd love to keep them on if possible. It's also been great to have a kit without a betting company on the front.
Personally I love the black kit we have now, as I loved our black away kit a few seasons ago. The current home kit I do like, but part of the fun of the new season is the refresh and excitement of a new kit. I always want there to be a new kit, for Home, Away and Third. So my vote would always be to have new kits every season.

I like all three shirts.
Keep CFS and let them and Umbro make up the new design. Would like to see a yellow away kit.

Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
The home kit is destined to become iconic in future, I think it should be associated with this season alone, therefore, make a new shirt but keep the Classic Football Shirt sponsorship. Perhaps take inspiration from the famous 'V', it has the 'BFC' badge/lettering that's the same that Kompany wears on his hat. I wouldn't be opposed to a new club badge either, I've never liked the present one, personal tastes and all that..
Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
New badge thing seems to be coming up more and more. I'm all for it dependent on fans being consulted which I think is a requirement under new legislation anyway. Current one just isn't sleek, symbolic or striking enough. My preference would be to go back to the one before it (perhaps with some tweaks) but doubt that'll happen.

He’s not in control of the ‘culture’ of British football. Therefore, beer and coffee will remain for now. I would say that beer and general alcohol consumption won’t transfer to the generations to come. It’ll die out, like smoking is currently.
He is in control of who he chooses to put on the front of the shirt. I cannot see, given his previous statements that we would ever have a gambling sponsor again.
Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
I'd be surprised if we have a gambling sponsor on the shirt next season.

As much as the design is a bit marmite, you can't argue with the success both this and the original have brought. Looking like a double bubble championship, 1992 and 2023.bobinho wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 9:48 amYes, MASSIVELY opposed to the keeping of the home shirt. Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
With it being 50 quid a pop, it would be a nice gesture to keep the kits for 2 years.
Maybe alternate releasing a new home kit/away kit every year.

Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
I don't care much about shirt designs anymore. Some seasons are good, some not so good
Classic Football Shirts is just a glorified secondhand shop. Logo is awful too.
However as sponsors, they have been great. They have engaged with the club and the fans. The Endsleigh deal was good - wish we did it for the Rovers game though, but it caught the imagination of the supporters and raised money for the community.
I'd like them to stay involved with the club.

Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
Love the home and away, I'd be fine keeping them for another year. I love black and pink together but that kit is a bit of a disappointment, it could be anyone's.
Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
The home shirt and the black and pink shirt look great and that some thinkings gone into their design. the blue tee shirt / West Ham style away shirt doesn't do anything for me. Love the other two.

Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
I can and I will. The success from 93 and this season have absolutely NOTHING to do with the kit that has been worn. Hard work, skill and organisation wins the day, the shirts brought/bring nothing to the party.
What I can’t argue with is the fact I am clearly in the minority in disliking the designs of both these shirts. Each to their own tho eh?
Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
We wore green for a while in the early 1900s, before claret and blue. Not been used all that often. 93-95 and 19-20 stick out. Big fan of the yellow and black striped ones too.

Yes! The yellow away “Billy Hamilton shirt” as I call it was a belter. It had claret/blue/claret stripes around the shoulder/chest area. Classy was that. I think maybe POCO were the sponsors

The home shirt and sponsor are fantastic and probably my favourite in a long long time.
Quite happily keep them both for next season.

Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
Classic football shirts might be sleeve sponsor next season if we required a bigger middle sponsor deal
Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
Love this seasons shirt, and the Away Shirts both Black and Blue ones
KEEP EM ALL
KEEP EM ALL
Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
I’d like to keep the home shirt. It’s been one of the most popular ever, the manager likes it and it is a nod back to our history whilst being modern.
Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
Would like to change the away and 3rd strips which I don’t like at all.

I have both the black and teal shirts but really didn’t like the Claret strip. It has grown on me though. More than happy with Classic Football Shirts to continue.

Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
Please no gambling sponsor. Like that my lad can wear the same shirt as the players and not have a kids shirt with no sponsor or different sponsor because of the gambling logo.
Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
There’s zero chance of CFS being able to afford the shirt sponsorship next season.

Re: This year’s Classic Football Shirt
Best shirt we have had in ages.
Hope we can avoid betting companies next season even if it means taking less money.

I like the Claudication Football Shirts logo on the front. Adds rather than subtracts.
I am still waiting for a half price version. Looks like it will be out of date by then!
